After a long day on the border and the 60 zone roads (our first time in Moz) we arrived at Bella Vista after dark and our SA programming made us believe we were in the middle of a very unsafe area but we quickly learned that Mozambique is almost crime free and ended up loving our stay at Imhambane. The lodge is built like a house from Robinson Crusoe and even though it needs a bit of maintenance the value for money is excellent. The owners made a lot of effort to make our stay comfortable and we will definitely be back.

Loved that we had access to local produce from the vendors that stopped by with fresh fish, fresh bread and fruits/veg which made meals at the house more exciting. The house kitchen was very well equipped and it was nice having the same cleaning lady everyday. The parking and overall look of the space can be improved on. We almost turned around and fled upon arrival when we saw the exposed car park and unfinished construction. It looked dilapidated and uninviting. Our car got stuck in the sand in the parking bay a few times but thanks to Antonio managed to get out both times. Please consider...
