Walvis Bay Reviews

Walvis Bay - a must visit
Walvis Bay is the one town I wish I could live - great outdoor experiences, great restaurants and if you have not taken a couple of hours off to chill and eat a breakfast at the anchors @ the jetty restaurant then you have missed out on an awesome experience.

The Coast
Walvis Bay is a great place to be, quiet and very clean. One feels the warmth from the place and even the people who are friendly. NIce place to visit and not far from Swakopmund. So one can visit both places within a weekend period.I went to the waterfront, and did the boat cruise; 4 x 4 routes with Sandwich Harbour; Catamaran Charters. It was a wonderful experience for me, and accommodation along the lagoon is the best place to stay.

Walvis Bay
Fishing Industry 10/10.Should like to visit Walvis Bay again and get more stories from retired fishermen that's been covered by the sand dunes.

Not just a harbour and fishing boats
Walvis Bay has to be the industrial and economic heart of Namibia. But it is not just a harbour town - the pelicans in the bay; the lagoon; the sand dunes; the salt pans; the lovely ocean drives; boat tours and the ocean-going cruises give Walvis Bay a charm of its own. There are also direct flight from Cape Town and Windhoek, not just Johannesburg.

Walvis Bay Jewel of the Namib
Where in the world do you see the beauty of the desert and ocean meeting in such majestic beauty?Walvis Bay is situated between the Namib Desert on one side and the Atlantic Ocean on the other. Giant sand dunes run straight into the ocean, creating breath-taking sceneries and a unique off road driving experience. Dune 7 is a must for all visitors to Walvis Bay being the highest sand dune in the area and a challenge for those who want to climb out the height of the outstanding landmark. The natural lagoon in Walvis Bay is the largest single area of shallow water on the west coast of Africa...
