Millers House is ideal for an overnight, weekend or longer stay. The cottage is a lovely setting for a family, two couples travelling together or even a honeymoon. Miller's House lies on 180 hectares of private, unspoilt Karoo veld. You can wander up the koppie to admire the view, perhaps even taking a picnic with you, or simply stay on the verandah to indulge in birdwatching, painting, reading or lazing. A brief stroll takes you to the historical Alberts Water Mill. Miller’s House is tastefully decorated in cool Karoo shades, and provides accommodation which is both spacious and extremely comfortable. The original clay walls and reed ceilings not only add to the ambience and character of the cottage but keep it cool in summer as well. Both of the bedrooms open onto the patio and each feature a private lounge area with DStv and air-conditioning. Barry and Heather Vorster welcome you at Heather's. We offer three comfortable units. Each unit is separate with their own private entrance. All bedding, towels and toiletries are supplied. During the winter months there is an electric under-blanket on all of the beds and a heater in the sitting room. We have two cots available for babies. All units are non-smoking with an ashtray at the back door of each unit. All units are fully equipped for self-catering purposes and are supplied with tea, coffee, milk, sugar and rusks for morning refreshments. Guests can either enjoy a self-catering or a bed and breakfast option. Breakfast is served in the dining room of the main house. There is plenty of off-street parking, a fenced-in swimming pool, a play area for children and a free-standing braai area for each unit. Graaff-Reinet, the fourth-oldest town in South Africa, is recognized as the home of magnificent examples of Cape Dutch architecture, and over 220 heritage sites.
