Hearty meals are served twice a day in the dining area, or on the deck where you will experience good old-fashioned home cooking. ‘Sirheni’ is a Tsonga word that means ‘cemetery’, after a type of elephant graveyard at a site near the camp. Sirheni Bushveld Camp nestles on the edge of the Kruger National Park’s northern plains within the Mopane Veld of the region. The Sirheni Dam, on the Mphongolo River, lies next to the camp. The accommodation facilities and the camp’s two bird hides overlook the dam and a wide variety of game and birds are attracted to it. Visitors have been awakened to the sounds of lion and hyena, as there are often kills at the dam. Sirheni has a resident leopard that is seen on a regular basis, often coming down to drink at the dam.

Experience the beauty and diversity of a South African National Park (SANPark) camp. Shimuwini is a Shangaan word meaning "Place of the Baobab". The camp is so named because the Letaba River is lined with these huge trees. Shimuwini Camp is found in the Northern Region of the Kruger National Park. The sparse, isolated hills in the west are rich in prehistoric artifacts, while the Lebombo Mountains form a majestic natural boundary to the east.

Deep in the heart of the Kruger National Park, in the most exquisite topography, lies a small satellite camp named Balule, after the Tsonga word for the Olifants River. This camp is one of the best places for guests to experience nature first-hand, situated more or less in the centre of the Park, just south of the Olifants Camp. With only the most basic of facilities and no electricity, a low fence is the only barrier that separates you from the wilderness, resulting in a true back to basics experience. It is this unique wilderness feel of the camp that makes it a firm favourite with backpackers, the caravanning community and other visitors who want to get away from it all.

Tshulu Camp is situated on the banks of the Mutale River and surrounded by lebombo ironwood groves, baobabs and mopane woodlands. The camp is located outside North Kruger Park, only an hour and a half drive from both the Pafuri and Punda Maria gates and 45 minutes from Makuya Park. Accommodation is in spacious tents on raised platforms with en-suite bathrooms and plenty of hot running water. A well-equipped kitchen opens out onto a central area for eating and relaxing. Solar power is available to charge cell phones, cameras and laptops, and provides light in the central area and tents; otherwise the camp is lit by the moon, stars, fireflies, wind-up torches and paraffin lamps. It is a wonderful place to rest and recuperate, and the birding is excellent. There are also several short walking trails from the camp, including a tree walk, and guides are available if you would like to venture further afield. Several kilometres from the nearest village, the soundscape is dominated by cowbells, baboon calls and the rush of rapids as the river spills out of the deep pools that mark the end of a dramatic gorge.
