Directions to Raptor Retreat Game Lodge

From Gauteng /Pretoria, head towards eMalahleni/Witbank on either the N4 or the N12 until you get the Belfast off-ramp. Continue through Belfast and Dullstroom on the R540 until you reach Mashishing/Lydenburg. Take the R36, passing through Ohrigstad, and continue to climb the mountain and enter the Lowveld through the Strijdom Tunnel. Once down the mountain, continue on the R36, which is the first turning to your left, towards Tzaneen. After approximately 10 km, take the road to your right towards Phalaborwa. After approximately 25 km you will reach a T-junction (R40). Turn left towards Phalaborwa and continue for approximately 6 km. Cross the turning to Tzaneen on your left (R526/R71) and from the intersection, proceed for 700 m until you see the sand-road entrance to Parsons Nature Reserve on your right. Continue along the sand road for approximately 5 km until you reach the security gate, where you will have to pay a R50.00 conservation entry fee. Continue for approximately 3 km where the road will split into three. Take the far left road and look out for the Raptor Retreat road signs. Follow the signs to the lodge.
