Loved the style of the accommodation but maintenance need to be done and cleaning services is lacking

I loved the outside deck with the small round table and chairs

The sewer from the kitchen was broken and bathroom tub looked terrible. Benches on the porch had no comfort whatsoever. We onlusten stayed for one night and didn’t do any activities though. View from our chalet was also dissapointing.

The eco cabin was nice but what the other facilities advertised on the website need to be taken off because they do not exist anymore .... website has false info..

. We could choose owr own chalet . We received a fresh home made bread from Amanda first evening. . There is a special contact with nature, all humans and animals are so relaxed and happy! . We could stay an extra night, FREE! That means so much for pensioners!

I am not negative about the place, but I need to mention a few things that was wrong in my opinion. Firstly some lights didn't work, the handles to open the bathroom windows are non existent. The barbecue grid wasn't cleaned and unfortunately I had nothing to clean it with. The wooden bench on the one side had wooden planks missing on the bench. I have been coming to this place for several years now and I can see the place is taking a backward step every time I visit. It is really a shame as it is such a nice environment to go to. Unfortunately I had my last stay here, very sad.

Exceptionally bad stay.

We had the most wonderful stay at Mount Everest. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. The log cabin has everything you need and the views are breathtaking! We will definitely return!

Lots of potential. Enjoyed the wooden cabin in the mountain and the great views.

We were sleeping in the 9 sleeper chalete amnd it was the best place to be, breath taking views  our own fire place and braai area. Best holiday with friends ever!!!

Great place & helpful people. A few things however need improvement:-

• Maintenance-in particular staff should test all items in the chalets before guests arrive e.g. hot water tap falling off in the sink, hot water not available .Can opener not working, some globes missing etc.
• Guests can, while riding or walking, come across hunters & there are no warning signs. Guests should at the very least be told in advance that it is a hunting farm as well. Safari Now should test facilities on their Website from time to time.

We stayed in the secluded Tarentaal log cabin which was fantastic. The photos on the website do not do this place justice. There is notable attention to detail in the amenities present in the room and a sense of peace and tranquility on the farm. We will definitely come back for a longer stay.

After touring with 2 water polo teams for 5 days - the absolute peace and quiet was wonderful! The chalets were well equipped and clean. Thank you so much for a much needed break after our busy week!

It is an absolutely fabulous accommodation. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. And their rates are very reasonable.

We enjoyed our night there, it was the second time we visited them and we could see there were improvements done. Only problem was the fridge did not work, and it is difficult with small children that have to sleep in the loft (it is very difficult to get up those stairs and there is no burglar proof in front of the windows in the loft which makes it very dangerous with small children).

Cabin and bedding was clean; but Cabins needs lots of maintenance the deck is falling apart the door does not lock he bathroom window was broken. The walls and roof in bad shape but is at least rain proof. Photos on website was very misleading big disappointment and being among permanent residents (workers?) staying in the other Cabins does not give you the “glorified camping” experience as mentioned on the web site. The communal kitchen The farm and the view are awesome. Will go hiking and climbing but not so sure if we will stay there again unless is has been fully upgraded.

Very nice, rustic, quite tranquil, lovely game drive a good variety of game.

We enjoyed our stay a lot. It is just the place to go to when you need a brake.

Wonderful location, great views, very quiet. The house looked good, two rooms were very nice with good beds and bathroom, two rooms were shabby, one with crummy beds and the shared bathroom was, well, not good. Kitchen equipment was plentiful, fridge big and clean but the stove was dirty and greasy. The boiler exploded, but the problem was solved the same evening so we had plenty of hot water. Great value for little money all in all.

We were disappointed - we expected a log cabin "amongst the hill tops" and "very private" according to the website. There is no way to figure out from the website that the four sleeper is actually a brick rondawel in the backyard of the permanent inhabitants amongst building rubble (I can forward pictures to you of the four sleeper and its views if you let me know to which address to send it). The carpet in the four sleeper is very dirty. We are grateful the bedding was clean and warm, the bathroom was clean and we had hot water, thank you.

We had a great stay. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful ensuring that we have a comfortable stay. The lodge is nice but has a lot more potential and I'm sure if it is looked after better and upgraded, it will be a very nice holiday destination as the location is great. The Ouhout Lesuire Lounge mentioned on the website is non existent, there is however a TV in the reception area with DSTV. Overall, for the price that we paid it was great! Thanks George for everything you did for us!

It was winter and very cold. Chalet very cozy. Nice place to stay. Kids loved all the animals. If you love nature, then Mount Everest would give you a piece of peace in nature.

Peaceful, quiet, beautiful. Chalets comfortable and warm, duvets luxurious, We spent a wonderful four nights there and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Serene and tranquil. For individuals wanting to get away from it all this is the ideal location.

A magnificent view, very comfortable chalet, available people, pleasant staff and service! All in all a very good stay and a recommended location for families and nature lovers!

Die uitsig van die Arendskop eenheid is asemrowend. Die eenheid self is baie netjies en het al die nodige geriewe. The view from the Arendskop unit is breathtaking. The unit itself is very neat and has everything you need.

Relaxing weekend with family.

We had a wonderfully restful and comforatble stay at Mount Everest. Having two young children, we chose to stay in the 10 bed chalet at the centre of the farm, giving the little ones place to run and play, sheep and lambs to learn about and game to watch aswell. Thank you to Amanda and her husband who are friendly and helpful hosts.

Very enjoyable stay and very friendsly hosts! The setting was relaxed, beautiful and the accommodation very nice. We enjoyed a lovely evening fire whilst looking up the slope of the mountain with the farm lands behind us. The self catering facilities were above standard. This is definitely a place for rock climbers and for those wanting a little peace and quiet in a rustic farm setting. Will definitely be going back again soon.

Excellent venue for peace and relaxation. Very friendly host. Enjoyed the privacy and vast space. Will definately visit again.

Dit was baie lekker en rustig. Die mense was baie aangenaam. Dit is 'n lieflike plek om te ontspan. Ek sal dit aanbeveel vir enige natuur liefheber. It was very nice and peaceful. The staff were very pleasant. It is a lovely place to relax. I will recommend it for any nature lover.

Nice halfway stop when travelling!

We had a good stay but were disappointed that there was not a games room, DStv, gym, etc, as mentioned on the web page. It appears that this establishment is under new management and are busy doing renovations. We did see alot of game and the scenery is beautiful. We look forward to comming back once the renovations are complete.
