Everything was as advertised and better. What particularly impressed me was the backup batteries which was very much appreciated with stage 4 load shedding!

The lower penthouse at Ballito Sands exceeded our expectations. Extremely safe, lift locks so only residents to the two Penthouses have access to their floors. Willard Bay is right in front of the blick. More suitable for small children. Willard Beach very rocky. Swimming beach would be Thompson Bay, have to drive there. Flat is very well equiped. Large washing machine and tumble dryer. Dishwasher. Large fridge/freezer. Aircons and fans worked well. Outside gas braai excellent and easy to use. Wood/charcoal braai at pool if too windy on the balcony. Lovely shops at Ballito Junction. Lots of good restaurants in the area. Pick and choose were to eat! Mpume and Mauro were wonderful and very helpful. Mhlali and Mount Edgecombe golf courses were also very good. Third room is in the middle of the penthouse so no outside window, suitable for small children.

Awesome views and very spacious. Kids obviously loved the Netflix and Showmax on rainy days. Can not complain about one thing! Outstanding and will definitely recommend!

Excellent apartment with everything you'd need for a great stay. Excellent balcony with uninterrupted views of the beach, wave and ocean. Very comfortable apartment and my family had a very pleasant stay. Special thanks to Mauro for always being so willing to assist with anything. The cleaning staff are also friendly and excellent. Always stay here when in Ballito and looking forward to going back soon. Thanks for a great stay, as always.

This very spacious, well equipped and clean unit is great for a large group. The view is spectacular and it's right on the beach. Private lift access makes the unit safe and secure. We will be back as soon as possible

Apartment need some maintenance. Kitchen cupboard doors broken, single bed basin boards is damaged and mattress in bad state Need new cutlery, like a egg lifter, a Jar for water and juice will also be helpful

Awesome view, clean and centrally located in front of the granny pool. One of the best places to stay in Ballito. Highly recommended !

We had a great time at the penthouse. Enjoyed the sea views, the privacy on the big balcony and the jacuzzi, had a braai and watched the sun rise over the seas. We stayed at the upper unit. I recommend the upper unit for any couple who want to enjoy the best sea views in Ballito and watch the sun rise over the seas in the morning.

Great space, modern fittings and wonderful sea views.  Only hiccup is the Solar Geyser, we had some issues with showering in the evening hence the four star rating, other then that a pristine choice, I will revisit.

A really nice and spacious unit, however some TLC is needed. Too much rust in all the cupboards and lots of the utensils have rust on them.

Unit is serviced daily but no very well.

Beautiful views from this amazing penthouse, good access to restaurants and shopping. Great walking path right in front of the building.

Really a wonderful apartment with lots of space, great view and close to the beach.  We had seven people staying in the apartment and found it to be very comfortable for all.  A few minor additions in the form of new bathroom dustbins and places to hang towels in the bathroom was our only small gripe.  We would definitely go back!!

We stayed for 8 nights in the upper penthouse. Wow! We had a wonderful stay. The penthouse was furnished with everything we needed, the Jacuzzi was a bonus and the location perfect.

Views magnificent, saw Dolphins daily also a few Whales.

The cleaner very friendly and efficient, the complex janitor always very helpful.

Odd things in the apartment do need some attention but they certainly didn't spoil our nine night stay in any way.

We had a great stay at the penthouse . Keys were easily obtained and great communication from Snow .

I am not happy at all with the money we paid compared to the apartment . the weekend was cold they don't have blankets we had to buy our own as the apartment was very cold the aircon apparently does not heat the room it makes the room cool the view was beautiful the dining room has a table and benches which are very dirty it is not looked after well the washing machines have a leak I am not impressed we spoke to the owner because we did not have a cleaning service on Saturday and he told that we should read the terms and conditions as cleaning is not done on weekends they should have advised us Friday the braai grill was very dirty  I have been to many places which I paid less and the service was excellent I am really disappointed

Great location, private, spacious with spectacular ocean views. Stayed in the upper penthouse for 2 nights. The apartment is the sole unit on the top floor of the building and gives you a spectacular view of the ocean and the beach. There are no neighbors on either side so you can really enjoy your privacy. Enjoyed the Jacuzzi and the large patio overlooking the ocean.There is a gas braai but it needs to be maintained, cleaned and repaired. Both Snow and Wiseman were very accommodating and helpful. 

 We had a fantastic holiday the apartment was warm and we had everything we needed.The view was spectacular and we saw dolphins swimming by.Lily the domestic was friendly and efficient.
we will be back

It really is a beautiful penthouse and we would go back there anytime. We really enjoyed our stay there and hope to go there soon.

I spent 5 nights at ballito sands with my family.

Well the stay was awesome view spectacular the wife really relaxed and all restaurants are close by, so getting around was is no problem,beach walks easy access to walkway,thanks will be coming back soon.

The penthouse was beautiful and spacious. We had 4 adults and 3 children. It was quiet, spacious, and very comfortable. We loved it and would highly recommend it! Beautiful beach!

With a double garage, a lift, a crystal clear swimming pool and some BBQ's on the ground floor level you can spend some quality time listening to the waves. The apartment on the 5th floor can be reached with a special key which lets you up to the penthouse areas. There are 4 bedrooms, two with double beds and 2 with singles - ample space for 2 families(8 ppl). The master bedroom and one other main bedroom both have balcony access - I woke up staring straight into the ocean! Awesome! The kitchen is huge - all utensils are supplied, you don't need to bring a single thing. There is even a separate washing room at the back of the kitchen where you will find a scullery and washing/drying machines. The balcony is huge - this apartment is basically double the size of the other apartments, with a huge gas BBQ where you can quickly knock up a great meal to enjoy overlooking the granny pool(better to swim here than the main beach, its right in front of this amazing apartment) I can also say the host (Snow Cogan) was amazing - he sorted the massive TV/DSTV out for us in a minute and if you call him with anything you need he appears out of thin air to make thing happen. Thanks Snow!! We will be back, no question!

This accommodation is exceptional. Lovely complex and right on Granny's beach. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to spend more time here.

We stayed at the upper penthouse for a weekend. The unit has breathtaking panoramic sea views - there is nowhere from which you cannot see the sea! We loved the Jacuzzi on the balcony (which was kindly heated up ahead of our arrival) - fantastic for sundowners or to cool off during hot days. The unit is well-equipped with modern finishes and is a pleasant stroll away from restaurants and shops. Having no neighbours and nobody above you is another plus! We never wanted to leave and will definitely be back! Thank you to Snow and Wiseman (who found our lost car keys)for the great hospitality.

Beautifully appointed and tastefully furnished very spacious penthouse. The location can hardly be better right at the granny's pool. The views from the huge balcony are magnificent. All in all a perfect place to stay. Very good value for money, as you have 4 large two-person bedrooms and 3 bathrooms plus lots and lots of space. The only draw-back is the wind that you hear blowing through the front door at all times when the weather is a bit choppy.

Awesome stay!! Really enjoyed it. So convenient with all the appliances for washing and drying. Right on the beach. See you next year!

A very nice place! Very nice spot. The air conditioner was not working well. And the DVD player is not working at all.

All I can say is WOW! This penthouse has the most stunning view ever. Our stay at the penthouse was so amazing and couldn't get any better than that. The highlight of our stay was, it doesn't matter in what room we were in we could see the ocean at all times and with the jacuzzi on the patio. Just made the stay even better, to sit in the jacuzzi and see dolphins and whales everyday. Was so amazing. Thank you so much for a wonderful, relaxing holiday and making our holiday even more special. I would recommend anyone and everyone to this penthouse for an amazing holiday.

Great location right on the beach. General decor and layout of the flat was good too... pity about the state of the flat and the building - the finishes in the apartment are shabby, there are no curtains (only blinds which mean that you cannot sleep late) the apartment was absolutely filthy when we arrived, the lift doesn't work (I got stuck in the lift for an hour) and some of the appliances (bedside lamps, braai and dvd machine) weren't in working order. Good service from management company who endevoured to fix as much as they could during our stay. I wouldn't say that the experience was worth the price tag.

A very nice stay apart from the air-conditioner that was not working. Fortunately it was the top floor so we could leave windows and doors open. Attention should be given to finishes, maintenance, given the amount that is paid per day it should be perfect!

The excellent position of the penthouse with the amazing sea and beach views, as well as the easy excess to the penthouse, made it perfectly suitable for the purpose of our visit to Ballito. The several mechanical and electrical concerns that we noticed did not spoil our short stay.

I enjoyed our stay at Ballito Sands Penthouse. The view is really awesome; whether one is on the balcony or inside, you have beautiful view of the beach and ocean. We had a couple of hiccups during our stay. The Jacuzzi gave problems from the first evening so we weren't able to use it. The blinds throughout the bedroom are inappropriate. One wakes up early with light flooding in - so forget about sleeping late. There is also some maintenance that needs to be done throughout. The big plus is that Snow Cogan is very helpful if problems arise. I would definitely return again and recommend it to anyone looking for comfort and location.

Fantastic location, great views, especially if you like dolphin watching. Lovely large balcony, would give 5 stars if internal décor is fixed. Any problems were swiftly sorted by owner, would definitely recommend.

The stay was enjoyable and the unit is centrally located in Ballito. The view is excellent and the beach is easily accessible.

Very nice stay. Amazing view and so close to the beach. Watched the 40 some dolphins pass every morning and the owner is very accomodating and helpful. Hope to see you again soon. We didn't want to come home. Loved the jacuzzi and the now I struggle to get used to my own bed, couch and view here in JHB. Had a lovely time. Would recommend it to anyone that wants a relaxing, beautiful and private holiday.
