Lovely large property with beautiful garden. Rooms have absolutely everything needed for comfort. Well run and extremely clean. Central and close to everything. Loved our stay.

Located in Swellendam's main street, everything is within walking distance and yet the place feels really quiet and peaceful. The room was really nice and the garden too! Will come back!

Furnished with taste, this historic house has a real atmosphere. Wonderful garden with swimming pool. Nice room with good air-conditioning in the summer heat, lovely bathroom. Good breakfast with choices such as fresh fruit and croissants. Throughout very personal touch added by the owner Alice who is really good at making guests feel at home away from home. Excellent recommendation for dinner in restaurant next door rounded up our perfect experience.

We had a nice stay at Elianthe`s Guesthouse. The room was nice with a lot of space and the breakfast was tasty. Our son loved the swimming pool. And they had some swings in the garden. There is plenty of space to let the kids run. For our baby they organized a baby cot and a kids chair. During our stay there was a building site next to our room. Luckily we stayed in Swellendam on the weekend so there were no disturbances. The welcome was a little bit distanced but after two nights we had a very warm goodbye. All in all we can recommend this lovely place. We will come back again.

Very nice guesthouse. Lovely, neat rooms with everything you need. Superb freshly made breakfast with fresh fruit salad and home made croissants and muffins; nice hot breakfast (egg, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, tomato) as well as cereals, toast, cheese, preserves etc. Great value for money. My only gripe is the size of the basin... It was tiny and difficult to manoeuvre a toothbrush or facecloth under the tap. Other than that everything was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Would definitely recommend Elianthe and would definitely stay there again. Lovely pool area and garden to enjoy as well.

we loved everything, from the arrival till departure, Alice was extremely friendly and helpful. All the other staff were great too, friendly and kind.

We just spent 2 nights at Elianthes Guesthouse. It was great to be pampered for a change. The weather was lousy outside but inside it was warm and cozy. Elize was off for the weekend but Alice was on duty and she knows how to look after you. Will definitely be going back.

Ons was 'n groep van 12 en die verblyf was uitstekend. Die gasvrou Elize en haar man Cliffy was baie vriendelik en hulpvaardig. Ons ontbyt was fantasties. Baie sentraal geleë. Ons het baie lekker gekuier.

Elianthe's guest house is charming with a lot of character . The owner has taken a lot of care with attention to detail . Nice pool and outside area and generally a good stay all round

All the ladies that I dealt with were exceptional. They were friendly and always willing to assist with whatever they could. The rooms are beautifully decorated, clean and specific detail has been taken into thinking about the individual and what they would like. We had breakfast which was included in the amount for our stay and this was well presented with a reasonable variety that would suit everyone. Another bonus is that it is situated very central and that you can walk to restaurants, shops rather easily.
The pool was an absolute blessing as well as we had a rather long day in the hot sun and found this to be beautifully clean and it was surrounded with pool sleepers for one to relax.
I will definitely recommend this to anyone considering staying there.

Ons het gebruik gemaak van die familiekamer. Keurige stylvolle kamer.  Alhoewel in Swellendam se hoofstraat, het ons 'n goeie rustige nag ervaar. (Die groot verkeer loop mos nie deur die pragtige dorp nie, dankie tog!) Lekker warm geslaap ook, want daar's elektriese komberse. Kamer is beslis te klein vir 4 volwassenes, maar as dit net vir een nag is, kan dit gaan.  Ontbyt was heerlik, baie dankie! Baie goeie diens ook.

We loved our time at Elianthes Guesthouse. Elize is really friendly. The guesthouse clean and lovely. We arrived there on a very cold night and were warm and happy at Elianthes Guesthouse.

our family really enjoyed the overnight stay at Elianthes on our way to Cape Town. Rooms were comfortable and the hospitality was top notch.

I had a really awesome time and I liked the accommodation so much. I would love to go there again and wont hesitate to suggest the place to others as well.

We had a very peaceful stop over at Elianthe's. A perfect rest spot travelling back to Cape Town. The gardens and pool area are lovely.

We stayed at Elianthe's on the night of the 17th February, and were absolutely delighted, very glad that we had chosen this out of the many on offer in Swellendam (one is spoilt for choice!). My wife and I choose this type of accommodation wherever we go, and we travel quite extensively - Elianthe's met all our expectations. The welcome was warm, the room and facilities very comfortable and well presented, the garden and setting peaceful, the breakfast good.... all in all an excellent package. Thank you!

We had a warm welcome and a pleasent stay. The garden with the pool is marvellous and quite. Good Breakfast. A really nice house to relax.

Good room in an attractive old building, very friendly host. The breakfast, every morning was a party. I was allowed to use a mountain bike that they made available to me. Upon departure I got to drive a nice car route which I have made good use of. I can recommend this guesthouse to others.

My wife and I had been touring in South Africa for two weeks and stayed at Elianthes Guesthouse partly for a rest. The accommodation was good, the breakfasts first class and the hostess and her family looked after us very well and gave us good local advice. Being able to swim and to sit in the pleasant garden enhanced our stay. If we revisit the area we shall return to Elianthes.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Elianthes Guesthouse and the hosts were very friendly and provided good information on places to visit in the area. The breakfasts were also very good. I would thoroughly recommend staying here as nothing was too much trouble.

Used this guest house in Swellendam as a stopover before moving further down the garden route. An excellent choice, clean, well maintained and a very friendly host/hostess who were more than happy to give tips about the local area and our onward destinations. I would not hesitate to recommend this as a place to stay.

A comfortably, quaint period building with ensuite facilities, pleasant pool and walkable restaurants. Welcoming and well run.

Everything about this establishment was lovely, the area, the room, the garden, the pool, the lady. Even the people in the local bar, Full Stop.

We booked online and have not been disappointed. We spent one night in a really comfortable room and had an excellent breakfast served by a very attentive host who also recommended an excellent restaurant for dinner the previous night. All in all very good and to be recommended.

The establishment is neat and tidy with a very nice pool and outside area. For what one gets, the price is very reasonable. I will stay again in the future.

We had booked for the 4 bedded garden room but Elianthe upgraded us to a \private suite\" with 2 twin bedded rooms at no extra cost. The property was perfectly placed for local restaurants

I was very pleased with my stay at Elianthe - it was all I could require. A friendly and helpful hostess, clean and pleasant room, excellent breakfast and a good guide to a likely place for dinner. Swellenberg proved to be very historically interesting - pity church was shut... and Museum closes early on Saturday - but I did see some of it.

We had a very warm welcome. The rooms were spacious and clean and provided more than adequate facilities, even if we had stayed for more than 1 night. Breakfast was excellent.

The stay was very nice, room was also nice, but we had a kettle and mugs for coffee and tea, but no coffee, sugar or milk. Otherwise everything was fine! Lovely place and Elainthe is very friendly.

I can recommend this guesthouse to anyone who needs peace and quite with a friendly, but un-intrusive atmosphere! The room is lovely and the breakfast is up to standard. This was my first visit to Swellendam and I arrived late on a Monday afternoon, not sure where dinner would be best. My friendly host, Elianthe was ready with a suggestion (just up the road), made a booking AND convinced me to walk to dinner (not something a Gauteng visitor will ever do out of own accord) – A lovely stay, recommended!

Elianthes is a lovely historical house with a pleasant garden. The rooms are spacious, clean and well appointed. The wide stoep is an added bonus and lovely for a restful sun downer or early morning coffee. Elianthe is a charming, very helpful hostess. We would not hesitate to recommend this B & B and would be happy to return ourselves.

We booked 5 rooms and we all had lovely rooms. The room was beautifully decorated and very clean. There is friendly service and we were served a healthy breakfast.

We stayed in the Lion Room in this old farmhouse in the middle of Swellendam. The hostess is very friendly and helpful. The room had nothing luxurious (not even television) but everything was clean and tidy. Nice big garden with small swimming pool and chairs in the back.

Elianthes Guesthouse was and ideal stopover in Swellendam. It was easy to find, conveniently located on the main street, and we were met with a warm welcome. The room, overlooking the garden, was charming and comfortable. Elianthe recommended an excellent restaurant for dinner, and a good breakfast sent us on our way, pleased with our stopover.

We found Elianthe´s welcome and attention to be warm and genuine. The atmosphere is homely and the situation ideal for a visit either to the town itself or the surrounding areas.

The accommodatiopn was very good, in an unpretentious, traditional style. The breakfasts were very good. The owner is very friendly and very easy to get on with. The grounds of the guest house were attractive. Above all this represented excellent value for money.

The accommodation was adequate for one night. Elianthe was most hospitable and provided us with an interesting history of her house which interested us.

Elianthes Guesthouse is a delightful boutique guesthouse. The rooms were spacious, well appointed and comfortable. Elianthe was able to readily accomodate our party of 6 in the configuration we had asked for and was a charming host. We relaxed with a glass of wine around her pool upon arrival and then strolled through Swellendam to an excellent restaurant she had recommended. Breakfast was standard guesthouse fare and a guilty pleasure, as always. Ours was only an overnight stay but we were made very welcome and I would readily recommend Elianthes to my friends.
