We absolutely loved our stay at 33 South Boutique Backpackers. The place is full of character; the atmosphere is very welcoming and relaxed. We especially enjoyed having our meals outdoors in the charming backyard. Breakfast time is a real treat of freshly baked muffins by Elvis. The wonderful staff made us feel at home. We feel truly blessed to have had our quiet wedding ceremony at 33 South Boutique Backpackers. It was very special. Thank you!

We had a very nice stay. Enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The surroundings proved to be very relaxing. The location makes it very appealing as it is close to all amenities. This is a bonus as we travel using public transport. We will definitely be back

We had a great stay and enjoyed getting settled at the start of our trip to Cape Town at 33 South. The location was close enough to the main road restaurants and bars, but far enough down the street to feel safe and quiet. It was convenient to the train and also easy to park on the street. I'd recommend this place to my friends.

Clean and central accommodation in Obs for a family of 5. It was a great way for our girls to experience backpacking.

It was just fantastic and I plan to stay there again when I travel to Cape Town.

We are a family of four and needed accommodation in Cape Town for the Argus weekend. We decided to try backpackers and thought we would be \roughing it\". We got to 33 South Boutique and were most pleasantly surprised.

We were welcomed by Elvis who was really friendly and helpful. We stayed in a 4 bed room which was really big. The double bunks were really spacious (not the normal suffocating type). Crisp white sheets

A great place to say and would definitely go back there. It is a bit far from the centre of town, but 2 minutes walk away is the train station and within 15 minutes you can be downtown. In the other direction you also can go to Muizenberg Beach (very good for surfing with Michelle (stoked!). The girls and guys working there (Michelle, Alan and Vincent were very helpful with organizing things to do both daytime trips and also in the evening. If you are into cricket, the Newlands ground is also only 10 minutes away. It is safe and fun.

We had to book a quick bed for the night and were delighted with the boutique backpacker’s way of roughing it in style! We stayed in a tasteful decorated double room with lovely atmosphere. It was a great way of interacting with foreigners and we even had the chance to share our local BRING and BRAAI tradition with them one evening. Our hosts very cleverly have a variety of South African style dinners that you can take part of if you so wish. Morning you wake up with the fresh smell of muffins and scones, which you can help yourself to as much as you can.
