Firstly the warmth and helpfulness of the guys was great! Delicious full English breakfasts, great accommodation. These gentlemen have thought of all the little things! Conveniently located and away from the hustle and bustle.

We had a fantastic time at Manaar House. The hosts were lovely, the breakfasts were divine, the room was comfortable and I really liked that our entrance was private. I'll definitely stay there again.

We were happy with our stay. Everything went just as planned and we were well looked after. Staff was friendly and very helpful.

The service was good, staff was welcoming and it was private. The atmosphere was quiet, bedroom was comfortable and the food was great. I would stay there again.

Manaar House was a very pleasant stay. Although short and sweet with our late arrival, the team were welcoming and flexible. The room was clean and cosy, breakfast was tasty. The guest house is also very conveniently situated just a few minutes away from Umhlanga Village and the beach. Would definitely go back.

We had a really nice time at the Manaar House. It is a really lovely spacious house with beautiful decor to finish it off, beautiful inside and out, the people were also very friendly and helpful to us. We really had an enjoyable stay.

To be greeted when arriving with a smile was a great change for other places stayed. Introduction to the house and room was done with a smile and care. Had lots of information on Durban available. Clean room. Will stay there again when visiting Durban North Area.

I only spent two days in Manaar House but the people were so nice that I intend to go back to this B&B. Superb breakfasts, confident people who advised me of two very good restaurants (Indian and fish restaurants) and one son who drove me to my appointment and to the airport.

What a pleasant stay at Manaar House! The accommodation was fantastic - the bathroom in particular was gorgeous - the hospitality was friendly, professional and welcoming. The overall experience was wonderful. The parking area is not for the faint hearted, however, Jack and Mark were always willing to assist, which made it easier. Thank you for a wonderful stay and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, tranquil and stylish place just to “get away”.

Had a fabulous 3 nights in the self catering apartment at Manaar House. The hosts were very friendly and had great advice on where to visit and eat near by. The apartment was clean and well presented. Would recommend to others.

Ons het so lekker gebly. Alles wat ons nodig het vir 'n lekker wegbreek. Pragtig, veral die badkamer, en skoon. Die gasheer was baie vriendelik en het ons welkom laat voel. Sal verseker weer daar draai. We had such a great stay. It had everything we needed for a wonderful breakaway. Beautiful, especially the bathroom, and clean. The host was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely make another turn here.

Home away from home, the facilities are impeccable with warm and friendly hosts, walking distance from the beach and not far from any attractions, I would strongly recommend the facilities to any one looking for a breakaway weekend or vacation.

Our stay was refreshing and very comfortable. The guesthouse mangers were extremely well organized, friendly, professional and catered for our every need and accommodated us with a late check-in. The accommodation is much more spacious and luxurious than the pictures reveal. There were ample interior decorative details which work so well together and presents the unit in such a elegant and homely fashion. We really got much, much more than what we paid for. We enjoyed our stay very much and shall return very soon. In my opinion there is no better value for money. Manaar House has it all.

I had a wonderful stay at Manaar House. This convenient yet secluded location has lots to offer. I had a lovely warm welcome from our hosts who have made Manaar House a place to relax in beautiful surroundings, packed with personal touches that make it extra special. I had a comfortable and spacious room which was very private and secure. Breakfast was by the pool, watching the birds in the garden and enjoying the ambience. My only regret was I didnt get to stay longer, it really does feel like a little piece of paradise.

Very spacious and well-appointed accommodation in good location only a few minutes drive from Umulunga village and the enormous Gateway shopping mall.

It is always a risk staying in a B and B sight unseen. I am happy to say that the Manaar House lived up to all expectations. Delightful hosts who pay just the right amount of attention, lovely clean and comfortable rooms with all amenities and a great position being close enough to all major routes and the beach, restaurants etc. We will be telling our friends about this one.

I would strongly recommend Manaar House. The room and facilities were of a high standard. Umhlanga is a great little town and Manaar House is pretty well located close to the beach and the shops. Mark went out of his way to assist.

We arrived after a long flight from U.K We had a lovely welcome from Mark, who showed us to our room.We were very pleased with our accommodation.The next morning we had breakfast in wonderful surroundings and Mark gave us lots of advice on where to go and what to do whilst in Durban. Manaar House is highly recommended for its hospitality and central location. We booked Manaar House for purposes of having a restful get-away from a busy life and so that the wife could continue her recuperation from recent cancer treatments. We found that our room (No. 3) was just what the doctor ordered. Nicely sized and secluded, allowing for plenty of rest. The layout and interior decor of Manaar House is definitely 5 star level and the design style is \current\"

This was our second time at Manaar House. We really love the place!
The rooms are clean and very beautiful - perfect! The breakfast is great when you sit outside you can watch a lot of birds, but most of all... Jack and Mark really make you feel at home and want to help you with everything. We will certainly come back!

We stayed two nights in the Manaar house but we would have loved to stay longer. A beautiful place close to the beach run by Jack and Marc who know how to pamper their guests. It was such a pleasant and wonderful stay, Highly recommended!

It was our (my sister and my) first visit to Durban in over 10 years and Jack and Mark made us feel welcome from the start. They advised on restaurants in the surrounding area as well as places of interest. The room was beautiful and air conditioned as it was very humid. The bathroom was even better with his and her basins, a huge shower and even bigger bath. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back next year.

The hosts could not have been more charming or helpful. They provided maps, advice, dining recommendations and directions. We stayed in the self-catering unit but asked for breakfast, which was served buffet style outside on the patio next to the pool, a really inviting place. The large apartment was two floors, with large rooms and a full kitchen. Covered secure parking was included. Very reasonable prices. Altogether a wonderful place to stay. Would highly recommend it.

I booked accommodation at Manaar House through the internet, by just looking at the pictures on SafariNow. I have never been so surprised in my life. Jack and Mark were fantastic hosts helping out with all sorts of small details which helped to make our wedding a success. I would thoroughly recommend Manaar House to anyone wanting to visit Umhlanga for the quality of accommodation and by far the friendliest hosts I have ever encountered.

Everywhere is very clean and tidy. Mark and Jack are exceptionally good hosts and make you feel very welcome. We stayed in the self catering apartment and couldn’t have asked for any better. The photos of Manaar House do not do it justice, what you get is even better than what you see!! We fell in love with the place and will most definitely be back.

I had a wonderful time staying at the Manaar House. The BEST thing was that I they kindly offered to drive my car in to the road everyday, what a wonderful thing to do, as my reversing skills are not that great.
I can honestly recommend this place.

Nestled in a quiet suburb of the upmarket Umhlanga area, Manaar House provided me and my fiancé an excellent retreat from the tussles of everyday life. The level of comfort and assistance provided to us from Jack and Mark were second to none. The room was designed for rest and the breakfast was excellent. Despite the weather disrupting plans for spending a day in the pool, the nurturing service more than countered any sense of disappointment that may have risen. The facilities in the room were worthy of its four star rating and luxurious enough to warrant a return. We will most certainly have Manaar House at the top of our list when we need a quick weekend getaway again.

The idea was to have a ball and to enjoy the night life after a hectic period in Gauteng.
I arrived at Manaar House and immediately felt the peaceful ambience of the surroundings.
I suddenly had no desire to leave this haven for the night life that I had in mind but rather curled up on the couch outside at the pool reading, just chilling and feeling at peace with myself and the surroundings.
I left refreshed and well rested.
I will definitely return and highly recommend Manor House.

(We only stayed at Manaar House for 1 night; however the Guesthouse and its staff made us not wanting to go home anymore.
It is the most relaxing and beautiful place for me, not even my home feels this way.
