This privately owned self catering guest house and vacation rental is set in the award-winning 4 Star wildlife golf resort of Kruger Park Lodge, within easy access of the Kruger National Park and scenic sights of the Blyde River Canyon. The chalet is nestled serenely in a quiet part of the resort, away from main thoroughfare traffic and flying golf balls, but still only just a few steps from all the action. An abundance of birdlife and free-roaming impala and other animals surround the lodge.

Cambalala is a spacious chalet sleeping up to eight adults in three spacious, air-conditioned bedrooms. Downstairs is an en-suite double room and a semi-en suite twin room, while upstairs is a large, light and airy loft area which sleeps four guests on two single beds and a bunk bed. All rooms have fitted double wardrobes, dressing tables with mirrors and hairdryers. The loft also has a two-seater sofa, bean bags and flat screen TV, making it an ideal separate living area for the kids. There is also a handmade wooden cot for the very little. All bedrooms have ceiling fans in addition to air-conditioning, and linen and towels are provided.

The lounge, with the dining area to the rear, offers direct access to the outside entertainment area, which is where you'll probably spend most of your time when you're not out on safari. Features include a three-seater sofa, a two-seater sofa, an arm chair and a coffee table. The flat-screen television is housed in a cabinet and French doors open out onto the decking. The dining area has a six-seater wooden table and the fully equipped kitchen offers everything you would expect, including an oven and hob with extractor fan, washer/dryer, large fridge-freezer, microwave, toaster and kettle, as well as plenty storage space and granite work surfaces throughout.

The wooden-decked entertainment area outside is the perfect spot to spend an afternoon reading a book or an evening cooking and recounting your adventures of the day. Like any truly South African abode, Cambalala is equipped with a large built-in braai with storage and work surfaces to cater for all your al fresco eating needs. Alternatively, there are many great restaurants in the area including one in the Kruger Park Lodge resort itself. For your convenience, a daily cleaning service is provided at no additional cost, so there is no need to fuss over cleaning the braai yourself as it will be cleaned for you as part of the daily service.

Ideally located just 10 km from the Kruger National Park, the area offers a plethora of activities and is a convenient location from which to explore many of the beautiful scenic attractions, including the Blyde River Canyon, God's Window, Pilgrim's Rest, Three Rondavels, Pinacle Rock and many others. Spend the afternoon on the local golf course, go on a safari game drive in the nearby world-renowned Kruger National Park, or relax on the grass overlooking the hippo dam and admire the unique African sunset whilst listening to local birdsong. For the thrill-seekers, the dramatic landscape offers an abundance of activities to get your adrenaline going.

Facilities and attractions available right on the doorstep within the Kruger Park Lodge include Wisenhof Coffee Shop, laundry and car wash facilities, a playground, trampolines and swimming pools, nine-hole golf course designed by Gary Player, pro shop, driving range, floodlit tennis courts, minigolf, volleyball, nature trails, jogging trail, hippo hide, fishing, horse riding, canoeing, abseiling, indigenous gardens, and a lapa overlooking the Sabi River.

One of the highlights of your stay is certain to be an excursion to the Kruger National Park where you have the chance to view the Big 5 in their natural habitat. Phabeni Gate is a mere 10 km away and Paul Kruger Gate is only 45 km from Cambalala.

Whether you're an adrenaline junkie, wildlife and bird enthusiast, keen golfer, or just after a getaway-from-it-all holiday, Cambalala and Kruger Park Lodge has something to offer the whole family. Experience the South African way of life with a touch of class and come and enjoy a relaxing break at our guest house. Guests also qualify for discounted rates at the nearby Sabi River Sun golf course, which is one of the finest courses in South Africa.

11 Reviews on Cambalala Kruger Park Lodge Luxury Self-catering Unit

The Unit was awesome. There was more than enough cutlery and linen. The kids loved the room upstairs and there were even toys to keep them busy. The kids loved to explore around the Chalet and loved seeing the monkeys and other animals play so close to our unit. We would have liked more space to pack our groceries but other than that the kitchen was great. Thank you for an awesome holiday

225B is a beautifully furnished, maintained and equipped unit in a wonderful resort. KPL is perfect for families as well as easy access to KNP. The 8 of us, ranging in ages from 3 to our mid 50's, had 3 lovely days where the biggest complaint was how short our stay was. We'll be back!
