Facilities

Gingerbed is a charming and stylish cottage situated on a large property with a beautiful, tranquil garden, in the historical "onderdorp" of Franschhoek. It has its own private entrance, and private courtyard overlooking the garden.

Our rooms are tastefully decorated, with whitewashed floors and white percale linen – it is simple, stylish, and comfortable. It is an open-plan unit with an en-suite bathroom with bath, basin and toilet, and small self-catering kitchen. There is a TV and couch in the bedroom, and guests also have access to the garden pool.

Our host Sue, was warm and friendly. The cottage cosy with neat, tasteful decor. The only thing preventing me from giving it 5 stars is that there was no real privacy between the kitchen and the en-suite bathroom.

Peaceful home away from home. Being the gastronomic capital it was ideal to have a self catering place as there are so many restaurants to try. We really enjoyed the pool too.
