16 Flamingo Way

16 Flamingo Way is situated in Bulawayo East. Bulawayo is Zimbabwe's second largest city and is the hub of the province of Matabeleland which comprises the whole of Western Zimbabwe, from the South African border in the south to Victoria Falls in the north.

16 Flamingo Way is a thatched house set in the quiet, upmarket suburb of Burnside. The house has two bedrooms with double beds and a shared bathroom downstairs, and upstairs offers a loft bedroom with four single beds and a bathroom. There is an open-plan kitchen with a fridge, a stove, a microwave, cutlery, crockery, a washing machine and a tumble-dryer. The kitchen leads into the lounge and dining room.

The city has wide tree-lined streets and is surrounded by beautiful parks. There are many examples of early Victorian buildings which are maintained by the Bulawayo City Council and landlords as heritage sites. Bulawayo houses the country's main museum, the Natural History Museum. It also offers a railway museum, theatres, the Mzilikmzi Art and Craft Centre and the Bulawayo Art Gallery which is housed in a most attractive turn-of-the-century building.
