About Mischa Estate Mischa Estate is nestled in the Boland valley of Wellington below Groenberg Mountain. Third generation Mischa Estate was bought just after the Second World War by the winemaker, Andrew Barns’, grandfather. He chose the farm because of its complex soils and view of Table Mountain. After three generations of wine grape production, Andrew and his family decided to use their extensive viticulture knowledge to start producing Mischa wines. They created a winery with limited production of only the highest quality, unique wines. Now, 9 years later, they are recognized as a top 10 wine farm in South Africa. Their brands, “Mischa” and “Eventide” have received numerous gold or double-gold awards and top marks from Robert Parker Jr, Wine Enthusiast, Michelangelo, John Platter and more. Mischa Estate and Eventide Cellar wines are best known for their brilliant reds (Shiraz, Merlot and Cabernets), but as of late, they have also started producing amazing whites that aren’t to be missed.
