Idube River Lodge is located in Hoedspruit, Limpopo, in the heart of the African bushveld, 16 km from Eastgate Airport. The Klaserie River flows through the reserve and the riverine forest is home to a myriad of wildlife including zebra, leopard, impala, giraffe, and over 200 bird species.

Enjoy wilderness walks and open vehicle game drives to view the big five, or visit wildlife conservation projects, and community craft and village school projects, and support important sustainability initiatives in the region.

Guests can also take a boat trip on the Blyde River to explore the beauty of one of the most important wilderness biospheres in the world.

Idube River Lodge combines the rustic beauty of the African bushveld and the calm serenity of the riverine forest. Home to a variety of wildlife, Idube River Lodge offers a relaxing bush break-away experience.

African Safari: Explore the bush safely on foot along the river bank. We can arrange game-drives and guided bush-walks in nearby Big 5 reserves. View wildlife drinking at the waterhole and enjoy a private view of the Klaserie River from your wooden terrace.

Family: Families with young children enjoy the spacious rooms in our Main Lodge, whilst young adults enjoy the privacy of an adjacent room and own bathroom in our semi-tented interleading units. Bush walks are safe, although parental supervision is advised.

Honeymoon Romance: Island dinner for two under the stars next to the waterhole, where wild animals come to drink. Wake up to the morning’s bush sounds on the banks of the Klaserie River. Your private chalet terrace allows you to enjoy a view of the river, undisturbed.

Business Traveller: We offer Wi-Fi in our Main Lodge and excellent mobile reception.

Outstanding Views: Delight in the many sights and sounds of the African bush. Each chalet and semi-tented unit has a wooden terrace with a view of the Klaserie River. Enjoy the spectacular views of the Blyde Mountains forming the backdrop to this wilderness setting.

Relaxation: A supremely relaxing travel experience, with semi-tented chalets nestled between the trees on the banks of the KlaserieRriver. Savour the tranquillity of the riverine wilderness and delight in the many sights and sounds of the African bush.

Working Holidays: A volunteer programme was launched in 2010. Volunteers use our lodge as a base from which to participate in community projects, including community training programmes and conservation education at a local sponsored rural school.
