A unforgettable place to stay
Myself, my husband and my 7 month old son stayed at the Guadeloupe Self Catering Cottages in Knysna and we had a fabulous time! The cottage that we were in is one of the nicest places Ive seen. It was very homely and beautifully decorated. Ive travelled to South Africa a lot and this is by far one of the best places i have stayed!! I would go back in a heartbeat.

Honeymoon stay in Top Cottage
We had the best time of our lives and will definitely go back at least every second year. The cottage was very clean and we didn't have to do anything. The Wednesday Look and Cook was memorable. Thank you Jenny and Albin!!!

Description
Centrally located, a mere 2.5 kms from the town centre, Guadeloupe self catering establishment is situated on a hilltop overlooking the famed Knysna Lagoon. Its special location gives the visitor the feeling of being in the countryside, with wonderful views onto the Knysna Lagoon. Two fully equipped self catering cottages, as well as four modern, stylish and upmarket apartments – also completely equipped for self catering – all four apartments and the top cottage look directly down onto the Lagoon. Situated in a quiet cul de sac where there is no passing traffic is definitely a plus. The apartments are built “loft style “ i.e the first bedroom is upstairs on a mezzanine floor with large windows which face directly onto the Lagoon. The upstairs bedrooms in each unit have an en suite bathroom with a shower and toilet. The downstairs bedrooms have a bathroom with a toilet and bath; bathrooms with a bath have pull-out wash lines over the bath, and all bathrooms have heated towel rails for the Winter months. All units, including the two cottages have a balcony with patio furniture and a Weber BBQ on each . All the apartment balconies have marvellous views onto the Knysna lagoon. All units ( including the two cottages ) , are fully equipped for self catering – with hairdryers, fans, heaters, wall safes and filter coffee machines. Linen and towels are changed regularly and units are serviced daily. There is an on-premises laundry service – all laundry is left in the bath and is removed by the cleaning staff where it is then washed and/or ironed as requested. Safe on-premises parking – each unit comes with an automatic gate control. Nine metre swimming pool on the premises for use by our guests. There is a cookery school on the premises as well – ideal for spouses who are abandoned for the golf course – spend an entertaining and informative morning in the cookery school, and take an entire meal back with you !! Wir sprechen Deutsch. Conference facilities available in the modern well equipped dining area of the cookery school. “You Look, We Cook” evenings every Wednesday evening – commencing @ 7.00 pm come and watch Albin & Jenny prepare a mouth watering three course meal, with a pre-dinner shooter of gin, strawberries and lavender………loads of fun and good food!
