An elegant, beautifully appointed cottage overlooking the spectacular view of False Bay from Simons Town to Hangklip. The cottage is on a quiet cul de sac at the top of Murdoch Valley north and has its own genuine fynbos garden with many birds.
 
 
The cottage sleeps 4 very comfortably in 1 double bedroom, dressing room and en-suite bathroom which has it's own private balcony and 1 twin bedroom with its own bathroom off the corridor which leads to the garden. Opposite is another single bedroom, which we use as a library/ TV room with two comfortable sofas.
 
 
The spacious living areas are entered off the street level without any steps and are reached through an attractive wrought iron gated courtyard. Every room offers a wonderful 180-degree view out over the bay to the Hottentot Mountains. A real gas fireplace in the living room offers warmth on cold nights and a spiral staircase leads up to an eyrie with sofas and chairs and extends through glass doors to an open deck with wrought iron railing. A wonderful place to enjoy a drink in the evening with incredible views.
 
 
The modern kitchen is well equipped with stove, oven, grill, fridge, freezer, toaster, kettle, vacuum cleaner orange squeezer and dishwasher and is adjacent to a charming dining room with linen, cutlery and crockery for more than 6 persons if one wishes to invite friends to dinner. 
 
A small guest washroom is off the entrance hall. Access to the garden is from the bedroom level and there is also a braai area in the garden. The separate laundry room accessed through the garden has a washing machine and dryer as well as iron and ironing board. The Cottage is protected by a reputable security firm and offers secure parking with a lockup garage.
 
 
The cottage, situated in a tranquil mountainside setting, just 4 km from Simon's Town, makes an ideal base all year round. Cape Town's City Centre is an easy 45-minutes drive away as are the Wine Routes of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. The Constantia Wine Route is closer as are the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. An enjoyable time can easily be spent exploring the Boulder's Beach Penguin Colony only 5 minutes away or the Cape Point National Park, which is only 12 minutes drive away.
 
 
No matter what the weather, the cottage is always warm. The cottage is cleaned once a week before and after each visit and arrangements can be made for help during your stay, should you so wish. There is also an excellent laundry in Simons Town where you can also have your washing and ironing done for a very reasonable fee.
Fisherman's Beach with its beautiful white sand and Simon's Town Golf Club are just a few minutes walk away at the bottom of the hill. Daily membership at this golf course and others nearby are easily arranged.
There are many excellent restaurants in Simons Town and in the neighbouring towns of Kalk Bay, Hout Bay and Fish Hoek.
 
 
From June to November, whales come into the bay to mate and calve and can easily be viewed from the big windows of the cottage. Throughout the year all sorts of ocean activities such as sailing, kayaking, kite surfing, wind surfing and the occasional submarine or tall ship can be viewed just beyond Fisherman's Beach.
