Our newly renovated Wakkerstroom Country Inn, owned by two London trained chefs, offers guests a wonderful experience in a relaxed and friendly village atmosphere. Only two and a half to three hours away from Pretoria and Johannesburg.
Our Country Inn offers 8 en-suite, comfortable & tastefully decorated bedrooms with complimentary toiletries (including 2 family suites which have additional double sleeper couches). There are also tea & coffee making facilities in each room. There is secure parking for guests in the hotel grounds.Throughout the week, our warm, welcoming pub & family restaurant provides a popular rendezvous for visitors and locals alike. Our delicious meals can be enjoyed on the veranda overlooking the town square, on the patio in our secluded garden setting or in our popular pub, with a roaring log fire in winter. A select wine list includes a range of South African boutique wines.
Wakkerstroom is the ideal getaway for birders, adventure seekers and for those just wanting to relax and allow everyday stresses to just fall away. Set in a peaceful valley surrounded by panoramic views, it is becoming the most talked about weekend destination in Mpumalanga. There are a number of eateries, pubs and shops, a salon to pamper yourself in, and a museum and historical buildings to visit.
