Facilities

This farm has been owned by the family since 1942. Today it is still a sheep farm however, due to its location half-way between Namibia and South Africa, it lends itself to be the ideal stopover for travellers.

Vastrap Guest Farm offers six en-suite rooms with air-conditioning and the rooms are equipped with fans and heaters. Breakfast, dinner and lunch are available on request. Guests can enjoy the large swimming pool and a bar and a braai area are available to guests.

Vastrap Guest Farm also offers day trips around the farm. Something unique at Vastrap is that it is still a fully functional sheep farm and guests are welcome to accompany the farmer on his daily farming activities. 4x4 Drives can also be enjoyed.

A shuttle service to and from Upington and Keetmanshoop are available on request.

Here you will experience the peace and tranquillity of a Namibian farm, and recharge your batteries before resuming your journey.

Nice working sheep farm setup. Very good food and extremely friendly owners - thank you Hettie! Rooms were okay, food was hot and tasty, the beer was cold, and the cost was acceptable. What can you expect more in this remote part of the world.

An absolute gem! The owner was charming and the accommodation just to our liking. We highly recommend this establilshment. The road to the farm is well marked so do not follow your GPS - it will lead you astray!

What a lovely experience! The hospitality was outstanding, the Friday night dinner (which we had requested as an add on to our bed and breakfast) was delicious - real home made Boerekos - Leg of lamb and vegatables aplenty - Will definitely stop over there again if and when in the area.
