Description
Umhlametsi Game Reserve meaning 'one days water' is a place where 'Time stops and Life begins...' Located on the western boundary of the Kruger National Park & Klaserie Game Reserve, it offers affordable and personal service. The Game viewing is superlative. The reserve has two perrenial rivers meandering through the area and draws a diversity of wildlife and birds. White Rhino, Lion, Buffalo, Leopard, Cheetah and a variety of Antelope and other African animals can be discovered on open Safari vehicles. The reserve has a number of superb vantage points for sundowners with views of the Drakensberg mountains and the surrounding bushveld. At Kwenga Safari Lodge, personalised service is offered. Experienced rangers will plan walking and driving safaris to suit the guests needs. Umhlametsi offers a diverse experience to their guests. Appointments at Kwenga are superb and are reminiscent of a bygone era. The staff are trained to pamper their guests from time of arrival. The rooms are superb, with percale cotton sheeting, mosquito netting and overhead fans. All rooms have their own en-suite facilities and patios. Whether you choose to sip a sundowner from the viewing deck at Kwenga, or tell stories around the camp fire or simply spoil yourself with the indulgence, we know that the spirit of the bush will linger in your souls forever. The Reserve is 65 square Kilometeres in extent and has an abundance of all species of animal and birdlife. Our Lodge saying is 'Leave nothing but your footprints, take nothing but your memories'.
