Underated

We arrived at the venue (got a little lost) and we were pleasantly surprised at how hidden the place was. The gravel road lead to a stonehouse establishment which doesn't give much out until you enter the rooms. Spotless clean white linen, and very welcoming atmosphere. Few metres from the N1 but you sleep like a baby. Yes I would definitely sleep there again. Pity we left before breakfast time! Thanks to management for making our stay pleasurable.

Relaxing stop over

We stopped overnight on our way to Johannesburg and wished we had time to stay longer! We slept in one of the rustic cottages which are very welcoming. I'm glad we decided to stay for breakfast as the home-made sausages were amazing and the antique-filled dining room is definitely worth a visit. So much care has gone into the elegant and old-world decorating of this establishment - its utterly charming.

"The Vale" is a working Karoo Farm and is one of South Africa's top Dorper sheep stud farms. Farming activities is diverse and include farming with a substantial numbers of game. Situated in the heart of the Karoo it offers many new holiday and break-a-way opportunities on the farm as well as being near the "Karoo National Park”, only 32Km away. We offer many diverse accommodation facilities, whether it's after a long day having fun in the sun or traveling, you can enjoy a good night's rest that will fit your expectations. Meals World famous succulent Karoo Lamb is part of our main course. Dinner is a 3 course set menu. Meals are served in the Guest Lodge. 3-Course Dinner: R120.00 pp Main Meal only: R90.00pp Farm Breakfast: R60.00ppCereal Breakfast: R35.00 pp Children under 12: half price
