Situated in a private nature reserve and nestling on a cliff’s edge, Plettenberg Park is a small intimate destination that prides itself on exceptional individual service and superb personalised cuisine. Spectacular rooms offer unrivalled views of the cape’s beautiful coastline, whilst spacious windows and wide terraces provide excellent platforms from which to view humpback whales and endless schools of dolphins. Accommodation: · 9 rooms, sleeps 18 · 8 Large Luxury Rooms (6 Sea Facing & 2 Lake Facing) · 1 Small Luxury Room (1 Sea Facing) Children's Policy: No children under the age of 12. Children over the age of 12 to pay full adult rate What to Take: October to March: Summer Clothes. A warm jacket or jersey for milder mornings and evenings. April to September: Winter clothes with at least one set of cooler clothing. Comfortable shoes and a hat is recommended for walks as is a swimming costume through out the year as the hotel offers afternoon Jacuzzi sessions with refreshments throughout the year Dining: The chef will discuss the dinner menu with you in person during the afternoon and will happily create a menu around your specific request ensuring that the presented fare that evening is exactly to your taste. Whether it be mussels freshly harvested from the rocks below the hotel that day and served in tasty sauce of white wine and herbs, the freshly caught line-fish of the day expertly prepared, a chicken dish with fresh vegetables, or a rack of tender 'Karroo' lamb, the cuisine will tantalise your taste buds. In fact, the real beauty of spending your vacation at Plettenberg Park lies in the unique concept of having your entire holiday planned solely around your needs. All of our staff are here to indulge you and have been chosen for their natural willingness to be of assistance. As the sun disappears behind the sea-cliffs whilst you sip your sundowner, you can choose to dine indoors, around the pool by candlelight, or on the sea-deck by lantern-light, as you prefer. Breakfast is a full buffet, including rolls of smoked salmon, salads, cold meats and eggs as you please, filter coffee and fresh orange juice. If you feel like eating out, there are several fine restaurants in the area and our reception staff will be happy to recommend a choice of establishments in the area where you can lunch whilst exploring the beauty of the area. Conferencing: Plettenberg Park is a venue for executive meetings and conferences booked out exclusively by a group, also offering themed meals and cocktail parties. Weddings: From the experience gained by hosting a number of successful and unique weddings at Plettenberg Park, our professional team can arrange everything for you, ensuring a five star occasion that will be remembered by you and your guests forever. Venues: Traditional church ceremony - A variety of churches ranging from Anglican, Methodist, Catholic and more is situated in the village of Plettenberg Bay. Our team will gladly assist in arranging a minister, priest or other religious persons for the ceremony, as well as bookings for churches. Cliff top - Exchange your vows on a remote cliff top 300 metres from the hotel. With 180 degree views of the Indian Ocean spread out before you, the hotel visible in the distance and a Fijnbosch reserve behind you, what could be more unique and romantic? The Sundeck - This beautiful venue is in front of the main lounge area of the hotel, and offers panoramic views over the ocean below. The sundeck is perfect for couples who want stunning views and the scent of the sea, while still retaining the modern fresh feel of the hotel and its whites behind you. This venue is easily accessible and is ideal for groups of up to 100. Private beach - A beautiful ocean sunset, a pristine sandy shore, and the feel of exchanging your vows far away from civilisation. This venue has such an impressive atmosphere that very little is required when it comes to décor, and is suitable for an intimate group of about 30 guests. Lake side - On the northern side of the hotel is an inland lake that hosts a number of wild ducks and other natural fauna and flora indigenous to this part of South Africa. Cocktail lounge - Highly recommended for groups of up to 50 guests as an indoor venue at the hotel. We will 'transform' the lounge into a room filled with white silk drapings and chairs, contrasted with a lively selection of fresh flowers and flower petals. Accommodation: The night before - Should you wish to spend the night before in a traditional way by not sharing a room then we can accommodate you in two separate, yet next to one another, bedrooms. The wedding night - The newly weds will be accommodated in our Honeymoon suite that has been transformed into a romantic world filled with rose petals, candles and romantic music as well as a candle-lit Jacuzzi complete with complimentary sparkling wine. Robes and slippers with the Bride and Grooms name are supplied. Menus: Menu will be supplied on request.
