My Little Africa Wildlife Sanctuary was initiated for the conservation of near extinct species in the region. Two of both genders of serval are in residence to breed with, while the caracal gene pool contains the scarce white colour variation that seldom appears in nature. The sanctuary aims to protect such animals.

Accommodation includes two self-catering units, namely the Serval Hut and the Cheetah Hut. The Serval hut is a two-bedroom unit situated close to the swimming pool with spacious open-plan lounge and fully-equipped kitchen. The unit sleeps up to eight guests and has a private deck. The Cheetah Hut is a unique, airy unit with a tropical island feeling and is ideal for a maximum of four guests.

Attractions include the Bush Bar with barbecue facilities, swimming in the natural spring water pool, and animal viewing. Other activities nearby encompass golf within walking distance, hiking, bird watching, bicycle touring, horse riding, and visits to Golden Gate and Clarens.

African Safari: Serval, Black-backed jackal, caracal and porcupine, which are rarely seen in the wild due to near extinction, can be viewed any time day and night.

We enjoyed our stay very much. It is a very interesting setting; along with the accommodation, they also have a mini zoo! The hospitality was very warm and Attie and his family went out of the way to make us feel at home. Great people! Great place. We will be back!

It is in a lovely environment with great hosts. We really enjoyed being so close to wild animals. The quirky accommodation makes you feel like you are living in Africa. Attie makes a great log fire for your braais. Great base from which to climb Sentinel Peak.
