The Kingdom of Lesotho sits at more than 1,000 meters above sea level and gives this small country its other name, the "Kingdom in the Sky". Situated within the borders of Tsehlanyane National Park, which is a 4 and a half hour drive from Johannesburg and 6 hours from Durban.
The 5 Star Maliba Mountain Lodges offer a tranquil retreat set in a pristine wilderness valley deep in the North of Lesotho's breathtaking Maluti and Drakensburg Mountains. Guests can relax in one of the six spacious luxury chalets, enjoy scenic mountain vistas from their own private balconies and enjoy the pampering attention of our friendly staff. The main lodge features a Gourmet restaurant, bar with quiet discreet areas to relax and view the surrounding snow brushed mountains.
The mountain lodges are ideal for special interest groups including 4x4 enthusiasts, bird watchers, hikers, mountain bikers or for corporate team building escapes where the main lodge’s gourmet restaurant can be set up as a conference facility.

Guests are accommodated in one of six private and luxurious Basotho-style mountain chalets. Each chalet is over 80m2 in size and is tastefully decorated with natural earthy tones. Warmth and comfort are key elements that have been incorporated into the design of the chalets. The warm design element has been expressed by under-floor heating, electric blankets, heated towel rails and wall panels which create a comfortable living environment for guests during the cooler months. The highlight of the warm design element is the open fireplace in each chalet that sets the evening mood for a romantic discussion of the day's events. A deep 2 person bath offers guests breathtaking views as one relaxes and soaks up the tranquil surroundings. A king size extra length bed and mood lighting help to create the final comfort features expected in luxury accommodation.
