Hunters Rest Mountain Resort is a picturesque sub-tropical country resort nestled between the Magalies Mountains only one and a half hour's drive from Johannesburg or Pretoria. The rooms and suites at Hunters Rest are perfectly suited for both families and business travellers for comfort and convenience.

The elegant rooms and suites boast patios where guests can relax with views of the sub-tropical gardens. The air-conditioned rooms are furnished with king-size or single beds, and some rooms also have a sleeper couch and an en-suite bathroom. TVs with DStv are available and free Wi-Fi connection is available in most of our rooms, in the main hotel, and conference rooms. Room service and tea and coffee facilities are also available.

Young and old alike can enjoy the relaxing ambience of the resort with a wide range of facilities to keep everyone entertained. The Executive Golf Course is currently being upgraded to an 18-hole course and will test the skills of any golfer. Group and corporate golf days are also on offer. The professionally maintained bowling green sees the return of many local and Gauteng clubs, while two tennis courts under floodlights ensure guests can play at any time. Guests can also indulge in minigolf and volley ball, or cool off in the large pool and children’s heated paddle pool. The large lawn area is covered by shady trees for children's games and mountain bikes are available for hire. The area is perfect for bird watching and offers hiking trails, with the adjacent game reserve also offering game drives.

Our spa treatments are pure, all-natural, chemical-free treatments provided in the comfort of your own room. Our therapists will help you choose the best treatment for your needs, whether it is to calm the mind, stimulate the body or to stretch out sore and tired muscles. Hunters Rest also offers four air-conditioned conference rooms that can accommodate from 20 to 200 delegates. Catering facilities will ensure that your event is a great success and guests also have use of 600 square metres of event space as well as the attentive events coordinators and events team.
