Bush Baby Chalets

Bush Baby offers two self-catering chalets in the tranquil bush setting of the Blyde River Botanical Reserve. The chalets comfortably accommodate four or five people and surrounded by established gardens and natural bush. The Blyde River Botanical Reserve is situated on the right hand side of the Swadini Road heading to the Forever Resorts Swadini which runs of the R531. Bush Baby Chalets are approximately 30 km from Hoedspruit.

Each chalet offers two bedrooms, as well as tea and coffee-making facilities. Guests have use of the fully equipped communal outdoor field kitchen. It is equipped with a full-size fridge, gas hotplates, hot and cold water, an overhead fan and a large table with bench seating. The braai, firepit and rock pool are by the lapa, just a short walk from each chalet. There is also under-cover parking for guest vehicles. Please note that there is no television or radio, just the tranquility of the bush.

The property has free-roaming plains game, including kudu, wildebeest, impala, bushbuck and zebra. There are also smaller species such as mongooses, genets and our resident bush babies that come to feed each night. We also have abundant bird life.

The property is ideally located in close proximity to a number of tourist attractions, including the Blyde Dam, Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre, The Cheetah Project, Reptile Park, Jesicca Hippo and the Blyde Adventure Camp. The Orphen Gate to the Kruger National Park is approximately 60 km away.
