About Big Blue Beach Lodge
Situated in the picturesque coastal village, Beachview, Port Elizabeth, Big Blue is ideal for a relaxed getaway. We are only 20 minutes from Port Elizabeth and are within easy reach of shopping centers and the Boardwalk Casino. If you are a travelling businessman Big Blue is the ideal place to stay and unwind after a hard day’s work.Big Blue is within close proximity of the Addo Elephant Park, Seaview Lion Park and Kragga Kamma Game Reserve. Also within close traveling distance to Shamwari Game Reserve. A quick two minute walk brings you the ocean.
Activities in the surrounding area include snorkeling in the tidal pools, fishing, sand boarding and hiking. Big Blue also offers meals on request (by prior arrangement), safe off-street parking, conference and function facilities, a swimming pool and laundry facilities.Enjoy a deliciously prepared South African breakfast while watching the whales and dolphins play in the waves. End a busy day with a sundowner in our bar area overlooking the ocean.
All five rooms are beautifully decorated in the beach-house style and boast magnificent sea views. The family room caters for those with small children and a room rate is available. Rooms are equipped with en-suite bathrooms, tea & coffee making facilities, DSTV, hairdryers, bar fridge and microwave (room 4 and 5).
Beach: Big Blue is situated within walking distance from the beach. Four of the rooms have beautifull sea views, three have balconies overlooking the sea. Enjoy your breakfast in the breakfast room while spotting dolphins and whales.
Wedding Venues: Big Blue caters for smaller, more intimate weddings. Should you like to have a beach ceremony we can arrange that and then cater for your reception in our sea facing venue. This venue has a warm atmosphere with thatch roof and beautiful wooden bar.
Conference Venues: Big Blue boasts with a 180 degree sea view in our conference / team building venue. A big screen and sound equipment as well as catering is available.

Thank you for your hospitality. We really enjoyed our stay. The views are amazing and it was great to be out of the busy parts of town but to still have the necessary amenities. Will definitely be back.
A nice an private setting. Beautiful breakfast room and nice rooms with view.
The sea view was amazing. Room was very comfy. The second room had a four poster bed which was a first!
A cosy place if you want a quite time, ideal for me overall, it suited what I wanted. We enjoyed our stay, and the staff were marvelous, very helpful and very kind. They made me feel at home.
