African Enterprise Conference Centre

The beautiful African Enterprise Conference Centre is located about 10 km from the centre of Pietermaritzburg, between Hilton and the Queen Elizabeth Nature Reserve. It offers quiet and peaceful facilities for those seeking a congenial venue for conferences, teaching seminars and other meetings or events.

The centre can accommodate up to 104 guests in a range of chalets for between eight and two people all with en-suite bathrooms. Each room is simply furnished with bedding provided. A communal lounge with DStv, pool table and wireless Internet is within earshot of the first of three waterfalls on the 60-hectare property.

Our dining room offers three full meals and two tea's daily, and on request, the option of a packed meal for the out and about. Special menu's and banquets can be arranged.

Conference facilities include a 200-seater Thatched Lapa, 180-seater Training Hall, 30-seater Reflection Room, 20-seater Heritage Room and 15-seater Vantage Room; all offer audio visual capability as well as the traditional whiteboard/flipchart option.

The award winning prayer chapel on the pond is a central feature of the centre that provides a place of quiet and reflection. A variety of wildlife such as buck, gennet cat and monkeys, come and go freely throughout the property and almost 100 bird species have been identified in the surrounding bush and forests. Please note that we have a strict no alcohol policy in place.
