I love going to the West Coast National Park. I particularly loved sleeping inside the park, whereas previously I only visited as a day visitor. As avid wildlife enthusiasts and amateur photographers we really appreciate all that there is to offer , and our early morning walks to the bird hides were special. The lagoon never ceases to amaze me with its beautiful colours and calm water, and the Postberg area was looking fantastic this year. We were the first visitors of the season into this area...one of the benefits of staying inside the Park for a few days. All in all a special place for me.

West Coast National Park has all the elements you need to recharge and refresh your spirit. Peace, tranquility, stretches of beach, the lagoon in Kraalbaai is the most popular spot in the park during summer. Postberg area for the flower season starting August - September with wildlife such as eland, Mountain Zebra, Bontebok, Bat - Eared Fox are just a few of the animals named. Let us not forget the 250 different types of bird species the West Coast National Park is hosting. Activities to do are hiking, mountain biking as well as kayaking on the lagoon and bird watching. Worth while exploring WCNP.

Stretching from Yzerfontein in the south to Postberg in the north and incorporating Langebaan Lagoon, the West Coast National Park is an inspirational place for artists, photographers, nature lovers and outdoorsy types. Geelbek Restaurant dishes up delicious traditional fare in a 1761 homestead. In spring the park bursts into bloom. During summer the salt marshes are a haven for migrant waterbirds – and twitchers equipped with long lenses.
