Barocca Lounge is a new cocktail bar and lounge at Solole Private Game Reserve, opened by Chef Simon Phillips and his wife, Ceri of Rioja Restaurant. Barocca offers cocktails, wood fired pizzas, antipasti platters, tapas and light meals in relaxed, comfortable surroundings, both inside and al fresco. In addition sports lovers can enjoy all major televised sports events on a large plasma screen. Join them for happy hour between 6pm and 7pm.

The 19-on-Main Bistro is located in a hidden structure, immediately on your left as you enter Kalk Bay from Muizenberg. A favourite restaurant with locals due to it’s rustic and down to earth aesthetics, its ‘tucked away’ location, gourmet home-style cooking and endless views across the ocean, 19-on-Main Bistro has a special brand of charm. In the Winter months, the bistro is warmed with log fires and offers hearty delights, such as lamb chops and curry buffets. In Summer the restaurant takes on a different character with lighter meals, such as salads, wraps and seafood, all enjoyed with a glass of crisp white wine peering out at the moody seas. The interiors might be ramshackle, but the food is excellent, served by passionate staff who have been there for years. The patisserie also offers excellent coffee, breakfast, sandwiches, delicious pies and quiche, all made daily on the premises by Doreen and her friendly team. Doreen Alcock won the Diners Club National 2008 Dine Award for the Most Promising Pastry Chef Newcomer. The Sweetest Thing has been open for two years and is co-owned by Doreen and her husband Keith. Patrons can enjoy a selection of delectable pastries including, cheesecake, lemon meringue and chocolate éclair. The patisserie also offers excellent coffee, breakfast, delicious pies and quiche.

The de Beers cold Storage building was designed in 1901 by Francis Edward Massey and build for Cecil John Rhodes in 1902. With its sandstone facade bay windows and rustic looks, the building lends itself to the setting for a romantic upstairs restaurant with views over the yacht harbour and naval dockyard. One of our customers called Captain’s Table the best kept secret in Simon's Town. Well it may have been but it is no longer a secret. Yes we have finally opened Captain's Table upstairs above the Two and Sixpence Tavern. The experience was described as follows: "Enter the pub and ask the bar person to direct you to the Restaurant. Through the swing doors, up the stairs and then enter a completely different world" Captain’s Table is old world in style, where everything was designed to enhance your experience as our guests. The atmosphere upstairs is relaxed with dimmed lighting, candles on the tables and soothing background music. The venue is ideally suited for smaller functions and parties. The restaurant can be divided to allow privacy for smaller groups and can accommodate up to 48 people. The restaurant is open for lunch 12h30 - 14h30 on Fridays to Sundays and for dinner 18h30 – 21h30 Fridays to Wednesdays. The restaurant will be closed on Thursdays except for functions.

This lively little restaurant boasts a “If you don’t eat with us, we’ll both starve” slogan that invites humour into this relaxed atmosphere. The extensive menu offers platters, meats and poultry, burgers and pastas including vegetarian and salads alongside the most dense and moist Malva pudding smothered with butterscotch sauce and served with cream or ice cream. Housed on the picturesque water edge fronting the old Town Pier, Bertha’s Restaurant will sweep you off into the sunset with delectable food and soul soothing scenery.

Theresa's quirky and flamboyant personality won't be the only reason you'll visit this established and beloved restaurant, as the food is equally unforgettable. Renowned for her perfectly prepared steaks and robust main courses, Theresa's combines elements that are usually difficult to create; atmosphere, ambiance and delicious food. The success of Theresa's may have something to do with the entrancing bohemian overtones that lend it such warmth, or perhaps being able to watch Theresa's antics in the kitchen add to the feeling of intimacy. Expect hearty fare on the menu, in generous portions. Whatever contributes towards the magic, it's a successful recipe.

Dining at Harbour House is the perfect fusion of elegant cuisine and an exceptional location, perched above the rocks in the working Kalk Bay harbour. With an air of relaxed sophistication, patrons are treated to a menu with an emphasis on fresh seafood while waves crash against the rocks below. Beautifully presented dishes have a slightly Mediterranean flavour, perfectly complimented by wines from the best local wine regions. Fish goes from sea to plate, owing to the restaurant using their own boat, aptly named 'Live Bait,' to trawl the sea in search of the freshest catch of the day. In Summer, the glistening blue ocean provides an entrancing backdrop to lunches and dinners, where Southern Right Whales can often be seen frolicking within metres of the restaurant from Spring time.
