Description

Be part of the National uprising - 10 days of amazing united voices of art! Join a massed ensemble of talents from South Africa and beyond raising their creative voices in a multi-performance celebration of what it means to be truly human.

"Times may be troubled, times may be tough, but when a great congregation of artists and audiences gathers to speak out in the name of art, the human spirit rises joyfully. Be at the National Arts Festival 2009 - where there’s art there’s hope!"

Drums are beating, sweet dulcet voices are crooning, lithe bodies are limbering up and cellos, sitars and pianos are tuning in preparation for the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown. Culture vultures, arty farties and party animals from far and wide will be trekking to the “City of Saints” for this annual shin dig.
