Matthew Evans
Originally, I studied law at UCT, and was admitted as an
attorney in 1998. A strong instinct for self-preservation steered me away from
law as a career, and I started out with SafariNow
back in 1999 as a programming intern and legal resource - we had a wild ride through
the dotcom bust, but lived to tell the tale.
In 2001 I went to the UK to live and work in London, before moving back to Cape Town for good in 2004. In 2007 I rejoined SafariNow to
manage the development team, and to be part of a great company with great
people...
I have extensive software development experience in the
travel, financial service and retail sectors having consulted at various times
for Virgin, Tesco, Kensington Mortgages, Woolworths, Foschini and others.
I've just finished an M.Sc in IT UCT, after completing my thesis on online authentication systems and geo-location aware applications . It is unlikely that you would want to read it.
Interests include surfing, windsurfing , and braai-ing
