We stayed over on our way back home to Windhoek. The beds were really hard and the room smelt of dust. It lacks a few items in the room to call it a proper self catering, the only way you could cook was to braai or microwave your food. There is also no place to wash up your dishes, the only place I could see was in the bathroom next to the toilet. The bathroom was tiny with a very small shower, my tall husband had a difficult time taking a shower. Pool area was nice, but very treacherous to get to with my toddler. It's not set up for people with small kids, the parking area had a steep downhill and a cliff with no fencing that made me nervous to let my little one to play freely. Very disappointing, never again.

I just want to inform you about a few things.
All our mattresses are from Bedding Warehouse in Okhandja and it is mattresses for guesthouses.
So it is good quality and hard. I cannot put mattresses that are of poor quality in my guesthouse.
This is the first time in 15 years that someone smelt dust in our room. So I cannot comment about that.
You ask for room 6 when you booked through Safari now. Room 6 is not a self-catering room.
If you see on our website, you can see that room 4 and 7 is the only self-catering rooms.
When you ask if there is not a room near your car my Supervisor took you to room 2 and showed
you the room and you told her that room 2 is fine for you. Now you have a problem about the space.
About the rest I am not going to answer you because if you have children yes you have a responsibility to look after them so I cannot move my swimming pool and area because if it is not child friendly.

We had a lovely stay and Annalien was just an awesome hostess. Our unit was clean and we just enjoyed the swimming pool and the view.

Situated in a quiet sreet just a stone's throw from the centre of town, this is a great place to stay. Everthing was spotless and Annalien went to a great deal of trouble to accommodate all our needs. Excellent self catering facilities and great beds! Will definitely stay there again!!

The room was neat and tidy. We had a nice rest. There was ample parking and we enjoyed the pool.

Basic facilities. Adequate for a one night stopover. Bathroom small and dated.

Pleasant stop-over on our trip further up north. Accommodation was clean, neat and tidy.

Overall all was in order

Ons het heerlik gebly alhoewel ons nie n badkamer met n bad gekry het waarvoor ons gevra het nie. Daar is blykbaar n e-pos aan ons gestuur om te se die kamer met n bad is nie beskikbaar nie maar die het ek nie ontvang nie. Die twee honde waaroor iemand vroeer n negatiewe opmerking gemaak het was glad nie n steurnis. Trouens hulle het rustig voor ons deur gele en waghou!

Our accommodation was overnight accommodation for a family of 3. It was well equipped and with on- suite shower room. Easy walking distance from restaurant an take away places.

The people were really friendly and they also had a nice pool and braai area for a nice relax after a long days drive

This is ok for a stopover

Ontvangs was baie vriendelik en het die skoon en netjiese kamers geniet na die lang pad. Die netheid van die terrein en interessante kuierhoekies gee ook ruimte vir ontspan. Sal defi itief n kuier aanbeveel.

Our stay at La Rochelle was very comfortable. The owners were very accommodating and friendly, and I'll highly recommend this establishment for an overnight stay en route. Only downside, we arrived on 1 January, and there were no open places to buy food, apart from the Wimpy outside of town, who clearly have not received fresh stock for a couple of days.

It has really been pleasant to stay over. place was clean and neat, highly recommended.

An oasis with fantastic hospitality!  Rooms were immaculate and we had a lovely stay.  We will definitely use LR Guest House again and can recommend it to anyone who plan to have a stopover in Keetmanshoop.

Clean and comfortable, good for a stopover.

A bit difficult to find so if you book keep a print out of the street plan handy. Hardly any street has a clear street name indication on. It looks as if it is in a bit strange neighborhood but once passed the gate you are in a very nice and friendly setting. Very friendly host and staff, nice room, great breakfast. Not for people who have problems with stairs. I would book again if in town!

I made a late booking but they were able to accommodate me. Good rooms, lots of hot water, comfortable beds, no issues leaving early. Only issue was the air con was not as cold as I would haved liked it. As I slept well, it could not have been too bad. I will be back. Thanks!

We arrived in Keetmanshoop at around 1.30pm after a long drive. A local lady contacted La Rochelle for us and was told that our room would not be ready until 4.30pm. We obtained directions to the B&B and found it surrounded by low-cost housing and light industrial units - not very inviting - so we cut our losses and found another very nice B&B, similar in price, in another part of town.

A great stay, freezer used, TV channel change accommodated, smiley and friendly hosts, comfortable accommodation, repacking assisted with and a good sleep, all needs met.

Clean and functional.

The accommodation was beautiful the food good. They gave my 70 year old aunt a charming birthday breakfast and were willing to deliver a parcel to my family, who lives in Keetmanshoop, but wasn't home at the time we were there.

It was clean and comfortable and well equipped. Friendly reception and I loved the two dogs they made me feel at home. The garden was beautiful in a place like Keetmanshoop it must be difficult to create such a garden. Did not eat there.

Saw the patrons once. Room ok but not good. Pool is a children's plastic liner type. Dogs are annoying.

Average accommodation, a bit noisy as the house is behind a 24-hour garage.

Was neat and clean. Breakfast was excellent. Very homey. Joubert de Witt and his wife to be was very friendly.

Respectable accommodation, good breakfast, reasonable price, recommended stopover.

Lovely stay. Clean spacious bedroom and bathroom. Great food down the road at the German Club. Also enjoyed the two dogs and Tom.
