Hi We loved the place. It was very homely and the host made you feel like you part of the family. We enjoyed the beautiful view from the room. Thank you
No highlight @ all unfortunately!

Location was NOT what I expected. No signage to & in the property. People within the area don't know about this property. I got lost for about 20 minutes while jogging, asked the locals but none knew about the property, I had to find my way. Bedroom was ok but NOT value for money. first impression on arrival was, "am I at the right place". Wi-Fi available but very slow, never work while we were there.
Whole family together.

Comfortable, and convenient

Stayed here for a wedding nearby. Cottage is very clean, and looks exactly like the pics. Our bedroom had twin beds, very comfortable sleep. Not suitable for elderly people, as their is a steep staircase to get to the bedrooms.

The room was nice and neat and owners were friendly. Unfortunately the TV channels were unclear and we needed to walk up and down stairs to channel the DSTV channels. Maybe the owners should think of at least having tea/coffee facilities in the room or some glasses for water/cooldrink. Personally I think the rates are a bit high as the accommodation felt more like a luxury backpackers lodge - rooms with a kitchen and Braai facilities to share.

Establishment's Response:
We apologize for the unclear TV channels. We have a fully equipped kitchen for the use of our guests. We provide free coffee, tea, milk and sugar to all our guests in the kitchen. We do make it clear that we have shared facilities. We could have re-adjusted the TV channels and show her again where all the glasses and crockery are kept if only this had been brought to our attention during their stay. As for having coffee/tea in the bedrooms, this is a strict NO. This in the first place is unhygienic, attracts cockroaches and invariably get spilled on our bedding. We have no fewer than three separate areas for guests to privately enjoy their drinks. What you see on the websites is what you get and it is the client’s prerogative to accept or decline any quotation.

The rooms are very neat, clean and well presented. The owners are friendly and helpful. We were however very disappointed with the area where the guesthouse was situated. As we unfamiliar with the area we would not know what are the more industrial area or more CBD area. This should, perhaps be indicated on the website.
Not impressed on certain things
Andre de Jongh, South Africa - Saturday, 20 September 2014
First of all let's start with the positives, I found the room itself to be nice and tidy. Perfect for one or two persons sharing. The negatives: first of all the animals, not everyone are animal lovers but there were 2 dogs left to roam around outside that would jump on you and won't stop. I wasn't a fan of the sharing of the lounge area and kitchen, and there was no privacy at all. The "view" which was supposed to be of the mountain from the room, wasn't really a view as it was blocked mostly by houses. the TV in the actual room we stayed wasn't really good and didn't have much channels, so couldn't watch much TV in private. The landlords were a bit too nosy for myself and my companion. They kept on asking how long we going to be when leaving the place to go sight see etc and made us uncomfortable since that is our business. The lady asked my companion if she wants to buy clothes and what I heard was a bit forceful about that after my companion looked at the clothes and said "no thank you". Lastly as we were leaving there were 3 cars parked outside, we came with 2 cars and were going out with one car to go sight see. We were then asked to leave the cars (with people we just met) to move the car at will and if they go out then they will leave the keys with the neighbor (who we never met before). Needless to say we weren't impressed on that.
Lovely BnB

Clean and tasteful accommodation. Friendly service and assistance from our host and hostess was much appreciated. The parking/reception area does not do justice to an otherwise stunning establishment.
Enjoyed it

Very comfortable and great host
Rochelle Venter, South Africa - Wednesday, 20 March 2013
We had a very pleasant stay at Zen Tree B+B. The host (Nora) was extremely accommodating and waited for us until after midnight to check-in. The neighbourhood is not great and parking is limited, but the interior is beautiful and very clean. The B+B is located close to most of the major wine farms and wedding venues. The bed was very comfortable and provided a good night's rest. We felt at home at Zen Tree and will recommend it to anyone wishing to stay in comfort at a very reasonable rate.
Treated more as family friends than guests

Mooie B&B in een minder aantrekkelijk deel van Paarl. Zeer behulpzame eigenaars, jammer dat er geen ontbijt voorzien is.

A really enjoyable experience for all of us, self, wife daughter & granddaughter. Errol & Nora van den Hoeven are a charming couple and did everything possible to make our stay a pleasant and memorable one. The B&B is beautifully appointed and I have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone visiting the area.

Accommodation is clean and comfortable, new and fresh with tasteful contemporary décor. What you see is what you get which is great and just what you need for a good night's rest. And lastly (and most importantly), it's affordable.

In addition to offering a great room at very affordable prices (rooms are exactly as shown in the website pictures), the owners delighted us with their hospitality! This B&B is run by an electric family that looks after all your requests with friendliness. Rooms are comfortable and clean.

Wonderful experience
Qaanita Hassiem, South Africa - Tuesday, 22 March 2011
We had an amazing experience at the B&B. It has an intimate and homely feel but with a contemporary look. Completely eco-friendly with lots of beautiful greenery. It was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. The towels are amazing! The breakfast was lovely and so was the chat with the host. All in all this was a wonderful experience.
Charming hosts
Sabine Reichmann, Zimbabwe - Wednesday, 02 March 2011
We had a lovely four night stay at family-run Zen Tree. Very welcoming and supportive hosts! The view from the balcony was stunning. Thanks very much for adding to a great time in the wine lands.
Lovely time
Liza Dunbar, South Africa - Tuesday, 21 December 2010
We had a lovely time at Zen Tree. Our hosts went out of their way to be accommodating, and the cottage was a delight - bright, modern and beautifully furnished. We left as new friends and with a handful of produce from their own garden. Will definitely be back!
