I am very dissapointed
ada buys, South Africa - Monday, 29 June 2015
I made a booking for 3 of my employees because they were attending a course in Gauteng, my company is based in the Western Cape. A week before our arrival the course was postponed due to the presenter was diagnosed with cancer. I contacted the guest house to see whether I could move our booking forward by a month. I also wanted to book another 5 days in August because of follow up training. I was unable to move the booking because the guest house then informed me that they are closing for renovations and that they are not sure when they will re-open. If I knew that they would close I wouldn't have booked there. There is always a possibility  that course dates might change. I would have chosen a place where I could have done follow up bookings as well. When I spoke to the manager about possibly getting my deposit back he informed me that the owners are not known to pay deposits back. I asked for their contact details which he couldn't provide. I then texted the manager to get the details of the owner. No response up to today. I am very dissapointed in this establishment the money the costs us. Poor poor customer service.

Comfortable rooms. Bar fridge stocked with refreshments. Enjoyed our one night stay on 13 Dec 2014. Danie was a good host.
Excellent!

Absolutely superb! Danie and Tercia and their lovely sons were the kindest most caring and friendly family imaginable. The situation is beautiful, the accommodation very comfortable. All the peace and quiet and privacy anyone could want. We would definitely recommend and use their facilities again. Thank you so much Daniel and Tercia. Very best wishes, Nanette and Wycliffe

It was and comfortable, clean and spacious. The only negative thing was that it does not view all the sport channels so we were unable to see the Springbok rugby game!
Great!

I recently had to spend over 3 weeks in Pretoria whilst my mother was in hospital there. Due to the length of stay, I had to find accommodation in three different guest houses - and I can honestly say that Big Tree is the best. Greta is amazing and went out of her way to make life pleasant. I congratulate her on a friendly, comfortable, affordable and well-run establishment.

A caring and friendly environment, beautiful setting with trees and birdsong. A friendly host who does extra things to make it comfortable and is sensitive to individual needs. I really enjoyed my stay here and will come again whenever I have to be anywhere in Pretoria!

Lovely
Kirstie Minnaar, South Africa - Monday, 23 July 2012
The location is peacceful, the property lush and green. Greta is friendly, accomodating and helpful. The rooms were spotless, and there was good security. Security on all windows as well as on the doors. The remote access not only restricts entrance but allows one to come and go without disturbing others. It is ideal, if in the city for a conference or weekend away. I will definately be going back.
Wonderful stay!

My stay at Big Tree Self-catering Guest House over the weekend was wonderful. Place is cosy, comfortable, neat and clean and has everything that’s needed. It is the little things that make the difference, like the flowers in the vase, bath mat, friendly and helpful people and just a beautiful and peaceful environment. I can really recommend it, because I will never look for another place if a stay over in Pretoria . This is affordable and beautiful.
Will return
