Stunning campsite with extra attention from Mr Brown, who manages the campsite.
Rhino, rhino, burning bright

The huts are good value for money. Mr. Brown, the caretaker/manager is very friendly and helpful. It can get chilly, so come prepared. Firewood is supplied and stacked for you. Do a rhino trip with Shepherd if you want a great rhino experience.

The campsite was super with clean well kept, if rather dated, ablution. The camp manager Brown was really helpful and charming.

We never travelled there because of the zim government covid 19 vaccination requirements ; I did advise big cave camp of the cancellation but never got any reply from them !

Our overnight stay at Big Cave Campsite was very comfortable and the ablutions very very clean with hot water. Due to another group also camping there we were on the outskirts of the camp and had to use long leads for electricity points. We suggest more electricity points and also more water points for any campers not close to the ablutions. Another suggestion is better signposting at the gate. Thank you Liz
Lovely Spot

Lovely shady campsite and the kids enjoyed playing in the rocks. Very helpful staff, who met us and built a fire for us even though we arrived late at night. Clean ablutions with hot water!! The walk across to the lodge is also worth it - stunning setting.
Beautiful area

We really enjoyed our stay at Big Cave Campsite. The area is beautiful and the campsite very well run with beautiful trees and well placed braai areas. The camp manager was very helpful and attentive and made us a campfire on our arrival. We would definitely go back every time we are in the area.

This is a really good campsite in Miombo woodland. Well cared for and everything works, clean ablutions, hot showers, quiet and peaceful. Brown looks after it all perfectly.
What a disapointment!

We had a booking at Big Cave Campsite and they knew we were coming. We were running late (Beithbridge) and tried phoning them, with no success. When we arrived at the campsite the gates were locked and we could not get hold of anybody. We phoned the number and left messages with no success. Luckily accross the road we managed to find accommodation at the Granite Ridge Lodge, what a lovely place!

We camped there on 01/07/2012 and it was fantastic. When we arrived at the campsite late afternoon I was a bit disappointing at first but after meting Mr lombaard and the lovely lady who are looking after the lodge I changed my view of big cave. We had almost the whole campsite for ourselves and the firewood! Out of this world. I would recommend Bic Cave to all other campers and I will most definitely go back. I fell in love with Big Cave but not uncle Rob's police.

Unfortunately we stayed for one night only. The group as a whole enjoyed our stay and welcomed the facilities. Thank you for the hearty welcome. The environment is awesome. Thanks also for the fire wood.
Lovely campsite

We loved the Big Cave Campsite. Stayed there for only one night but next time will definitely stay for two or more. Matopo Hills is stunning, the ablutions at the campsite very clean, steaming hot showers and friendly people.
