Cleanliness of the place was the highlight together with caring by the owner and the staff.

The place is good and beautiful. Only negative is parking space. It can only fairly accommodate three cars. When there are more guests, then you have to move when someone else needs to drive. Otherwise great place.

We enjoyed our stay, the rooms were neat and clean. It had everything we needed. The owner was super friendly and helpful. Will definitely recommend to family and friends for future and we will definitely return again. 

Great - very clean, suitable for families, couples and business. Very comfortable. Owner is fantastic and very helpful. Rooms have all the self catering facilities that are in good condition. Would def stay at the lodge again when at the coast.

Accomodation (self catering) was clean and very tastefully furnished. Coveniently located and secure. Nothing not to like!

We had a wonderful time staying at Shellbourne Lodge. It was peaceful and cosy, which was exactly what we were looking for to get away from the hectic Joburg life. The room was spacious and had all the necesseties including a microwave, fridge and cutlery and crockery.

The facilities on site were awesome. We loved the jacuzzi and being able to have our own little braai right outside our room. A big thanks to Lindsays hospitality. Thank you for setting up our room with roses, chocolates and champagne. It just made our holiday a little more special.

The lodge is located close to all the malls and not far from Durban and the beaches. We loved staying here and look forward to coming back.

My husband and I stayed for six nights. The Nautilus unit is spacious and allows for pretty much all you need in a self catering unit. Also very close to local businesses and off course shops and restaurants. I would definitely visit again.

It was very disappointing. The owner never informed us that major building alteration will be ongoing during our stay. This also meant that there was no privacy by the pool area. Whilst the new owner gave us some wine and fruit as a apology it certainly does not make up for demolition works starting at 8.00am and ruining the holiday.

I must say, impressed is an understatement to describe the hospitality and the sweet surprise that awaited us when we arrived at your Lodge.
We were the couple that won the ECR Valentine’s Day comp, and before we arrived at Shelbourne I had proposed to my girl friend of 7years in front of a crowd of 5000 people at the ICC. She said YES :-)
Shelbourne was the first place we spent a night together and now has become a part of our love story. Thank you for the lovely roses and chocolates that awaited us on arrival.
We will most definitely be coming back to make more memories here.

We had a wonderful stay and were very impressed with the facilities. Would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Our stay at the Shelbourne Lodge was really awesome! We were very close to the La Lucia Mall, Gateway and the beach. The area is very quiet and our hosts were really hospitable.

Our stay at Shelbourne Lodge was most comfortable. We loved the fact that the bedroom and lounge areas were a bit separate so one could sleep in even if the other was up. Beautifully furnished and equipped. We will certainly go back.

My wife and I recently spent a night in Shelbourne Lodge which was very good value in a city where Bed and Breakfast accommodation is generally overpriced . The accommodation offered was very good value and most certainly we can recommend Shelbourne Lodge, where the hosts are particularly courteous and hospitable.

We enjoyed our time at the lodge. The facilities were very comfortable and it was great having access to a pool and hot tub. The only thing we would suggest for improvement were the self-catering facilities. For the money we paid, we would have expected to have a proper oven/hob rather than a hot plate. We would also have appreciated basics like salt and pepper (and rubber gloves).

Lots of thought went into the facilities and comfort in the rooms and we can really recommend Shelbourne Lodge to anyone as we are also in the hospitality buisness in the Cape. An extremely pleasant stayover in the best part of Durban

Marilize and her husband were absolutely brilliant hosts. It was an absolute pleasure staying in their home. The breakfast they served was to die for. Our overall stay for our first visit in Durbs was fabulous.

It was nice staying at Sherllbourne we really enjoyed it
