Fantastic house, very friendly staff - the heater was already on for us! Everything looked new and with many African designs. Big surprise for us was the big fully equipped kitchen.

We had a wonderful restful weekend in a lovely little hideout. The garden cottage was clean and fresh with everything we needed. The price was the biggest surprise. Hosts Dave and Amanda were most gracious and helpful. Thank you!

We stayed in the self-catering cottage which was very nice. Some nice ideas as far as décor is concerned, especially for overseas tourists.

This is true hospitality! Dave and Amanda are so cordial and helpful. We had a lovely little house, tastefully decorated and with a fully equipped kitchen, real coffee and even cookies! We understood that this English couple completely integrated themselves in the local community, which is superb.

This B&B was one of the best houses we have had during our stay in SA. We stay in the Leopard room, which was very cosy. The owners were very kind end they gave excellent tips during our stay. So you have to stay there!

We spent a wonderful night over at Impangele Guest House on our way to Cape Town for a holiday. Our hosts were most accommodating as we have a young family of 3 children under the age of 6. The breakfast was most memorable! Thank you for the refreshing stop.
We couldn't fault it.

We were welcomed with a glass of wine and a blazing fire. Dave was very helpful with information about the local attractions. we enjoyed staying in the Leopard Room, complete with leopard 'trimmings'. The breakfast was excellent - a real English breakfast. Thanks for the stay!

Amanda and Dave made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. They welcomed us, helped carry our substantial luggage into the house and once we had freshened up we joined them and other guests for wine and snacks on their verandah. It felt as if we had known them all our lives. The next morning we were served a delicious, extremely well-cooked breakfast. We will definitely be returning next time we pass that way.

On arrival we were whisked away to a "booze cruise" and braai in their car -- to our astonishment and pleasure. The hosts were welcoming in the extreme, friendly and competent ... it was a home from home for the one night we stayed -- a terrific breakfast on the stoep overlooking the mountains and valley. The proprietors are a very nice couple and deserve all our plaudits!! We heartily recommend this establishment to any and all that would either break their journey in Swellendam or even visit this pleasant little town for a longer period.

It was like coming home and James(10) was made more than welcome and he felt he could be a little boy. Amanda and Dave are fantastic hosts and they make you feel part of the family rather than a guest which is the best. Congratulations and we will recommend you to all our friends.

Derick Coetzee, South Africa - Monday, 03 September 2007
I would recommend this establishment to anyone wishing to stay in the Swellendam area. Close to most of the attractions including the Faerie sanctuary, Marloth nature reserve, golf course and a couple of restaurants. Amanda and David are fun people and you can clearly see that they enjoy having you there. The breakfast alone is almost enough to stay at Impangele. Thanks for a great stay and keep up the good work.
Exactly what we wanted
Belinda Gough, South Africa - Wednesday, 22 August 2007
Spacious, clean, exactly what we wanted for a stop-over. We would definitely recommend Impangele to anyone who wants to spend a night or two in Swellendam, or even as a base for holidaymakers wanting to explore the area. It is excellent value for money. David and Amanda are stunning - helpful and caring. Dr and Mrs K Gough and daughter and 2 little dogs

Felt at Home
margaret knight, South Africa - Monday, 16 July 2007
We enjoyed our stay at Impangele Guest House. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too big a problem for them and they made us feel like family. The cottage was quite quaint. Since black is my favourite colour the fact that the colour scheme in the cottage is black made me feel like I was home. The little one (4 years) enjoyed the big grounds in which he could run and play.
A good address for our friends.
