There was no kitchen towels in the selfcatering.
There is no plug near a mirror or dressing table.
The maintenance in the building is poor. When I brought it under the attention of the manager, he had a attitude of "Well Im sorry you are feeling this way".
The staff at reception could be more friendly. Other staff were helpful.
The art was very inspirational.
Dinner last night!

I didn’t expect Amakoekoe as a Guest House to offer round the clock meals. I was really exhausted last night after work and just wanted to eat and go to bed before having to rise and shine pre-dawn to catch a flight back to Cape Town. I saw a client at Amakoekoe in the afternoon and was served coffee - another surprise! Then when i asked, quite in the off-chance whether they served dinner, the chef answered yes! I had a LOVELY home-cooked chicken curry, salad and a welcome drink and went to bed. Breakfast was open and service started at 6:10 AM! I had a warm breakfast and left for the airport before 6:30! What service! Only snag? Amakoekoe believes that margarine is good and doesn’t carry a bitter option for guests for breakfast! What a pity! 😭 otherwise too marks for service, friendliness and effort! Lovely stay!

The rooms were cozy. The staff was wonderful and helpful. The chef was brilliant! We wish we could have stayed longer. Next time, I'm taking my whole family with me.

I will most definitely stay at Aamakoekoe Guesthouse for years to come. Good food, wonderful hospitality and well located towards the Dome where the Annual Getaway Show is held.
