About Vic Bay Beach House
The small cove of Victoria Bay in the Western Cape is situated on the Garden Route between George and Wilderness. The Vic Bay Beach House is five minutes from George, where you can enjoy sun, sea and peaceful seaside holidays. It has 180 degree oceans views, exquisite natural beauty and some of the most spectacular sunsets South Africa has to offer.
The house has four bedrooms. The Superior Sea-facing Suite sleeps two adults while the three Sea-facing Family Suites can accommodate two adults and one child. The upstairs apartments each have an en-suite bathroom with a bath and a shower. The house has several communal lounge areas, a communal kitchen and a balcony. The house is serviced three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, excluding public holidays.
Victoria Bay is a popular spot for surfers as it boasts a right hand reef-like wave which rolls over small boulder-like rocks for about 200m. Surf competitions are often held here and despite its small size, it is a well-known and much-visited spot. Large boulders, believed to have rolled down from the top of the hill, make up the western side of the bay. This area is known as Land’s End. The name was given to the original bungalow, which is now a large self-catering and B&B property. The eastern side of the bay consists of rocks, flanked briefly by a concrete wall built to prevent erosion of the slope. The end of the eastern side is call Kabeljou Bank. It is named after the large cob which are often caught from the rocks.
Beach: House overlooks the beach. Enjoy 180 degree oceans views.
