About Thirsty Falls Guest Farm

Deep in the heart of the Magaliesberg Mountains lies a true gem, cradled amidst the rugged splendour of the African bush and cliffs as a backdrop. Thirsty Falls offers spectacular views and absolute privacy in a tranquil environment.

The five self-catering cottages are fully-equipped and consists of either one-, two- or three bedrooms. Relax at the swimming pool and sip sundowners on the shady patios among indigenous terrain while watching abundant bird life and breathtaking sunsets. Star-filled night skies are an unforgettable sight and for the more chilly winter evenings, there is a lovely log fireplace.

We are set on a farm on the R24, just 25 km north-west of Magaliesberg and 35 km south-east of Rustenburg. It is just one and a half hours’ drive from Johannesburg or Pretoria and half an hour from Rustenburg. Thirsty Falls is for anyone wanting a weekend breakaway or to take a few days of rest and relaxation.

Jenny and Alan were very hospitable

We were blown away by how green the area was after some really good rains. The road leading to the lodge was a bit dodgy and we were a bit concerned about what we had gotten ourselves into, but there was no need to have worried. The accommodation was lovely! We had a wonderful stay. Jenny and Alan were perfect hosts and even managed to send us on our way with some indigenous plants to plant at home. I would recommend the Guest Farm to anyone that wants to get away from the rat race and just get back to nature.

It's just the place to unwind and relax.  The hosts are such nice people.  The nature is a true testament of an Amazing God we serve.  The chalet is luxurious with everything you need.  We enjoyed it very much.

Peace, privacy and tranquility surrounded by nature abound at Thirsty Falls. A superb location to 'wind down' and relax in the fresh country air and the sounds of the African bush. Protea cottage was clean, comfortable and adequately appointed, tucked away under the mountain, with lovely views. Our hosts Jenny and Alan went out of their way to ensure our comfort. Highly recommended.
