About Royston Hall

Ria and Roderick Hackland welcome you to their Victorian home which they've now opened by appointment to discerning guests who will appreciate the elegant simplicity of the finer lifestyle of yesteryear and nature at its best. This historical home offers 6 professionally decorated rooms, each with its own charm and a definite nod to yesteryear, but with all the necessary amenities to make your stay comfortable. All rooms have private bathroom facilities and No 3 & 4 upstairs have the additional option to their private showers, to have a leisurely bath in the original authentic Victorian bathroom on the Mezzanine landing. Bathrobes are supplied in all the rooms. This is a couples' haven to renew mind, body,- soul and relationships. This is their time, so please leave the little people with caring family! We regret, children under 12 are not catered for. From 12 upwards the children will be allocated a separate double bed room and the full tariff will be levied. This beautiful manor house with her rich history is certainly the best kept secret on the Lower South Coast. Time has stood still here for more than a century. The house is set on its own small nature reserve adjacent to the mighty Umzimkulu River with a view of the Indian Ocean in the distance. Royston Hall is a stately old Victorian lady from a bygone era, lovingly restored to her former glory and registered as a listed place of historical interest.

Beautiful and exclusive accomodation, close to the beach and walking trails down to the river if that's your thing. Breakfast served on the veranda at your own private table with attention to every detail. Fireplace in the honeymoon suite created a sensational atmoshpere. We were able to enjoy privacy, as well as enjoying the company of our hosts and other guests in the lounge and TV room of the main residence when we felt like it. This is not a place for kiddies and makes for a relaxing and truly memorable retreat.
