About Richtersveld Experience Lodge

The feeling here at the Richtersveld Experience Lodge is distinctly Mediterranean. We are situated in the WestCoast town of Port Nolloth, in the heart of Namaqualand, a quiet town where going nowhere slowly is a daily practice. For the yearly floral enthusiasts, our town is also the perfect base from which to plan your routes and to relax between trips into the Richtersveld.

There's something for everyone at Richtersveld Experience Lodge. We offer six spacious fully equipped self-catering units, all at very affordable prices that are ideal for a quick getaway. Our units range from a small, open-plan unit offering at least two single beds, a kitchenette and bathroom, to a spacious apartment-style unit with a big bedroom including a double bed and two single beds in the lounge, a spacious, fully equipped kitchen, and a bathroom with both a bath and shower. All units have a fan and daily services of all units available on request for an additional fee. In addition, a communal indoor relaxation area includes an in-door barbecue, Wi-Fi, full DStv, a pool table, and dart board. We also offer local TV channels in the units or alternatively, you can bring your own decoder and watch in the comfort of your own unit, and an open courtyard enables you to park directly in front of your unit.

Port Nolloth Spar stocks everything a lazy holidaymaker needs, all less than 2 km from where you'll be staying, while our local pharmacy offers a variety of gifts and medical supplies. Come and enjoy one of the most peaceful places on earth, and make your next holiday one to remember.

Shower is terribly small, in industrial area, on main road. No views.

Well the title says it all. Consider it a accommodation on an industrial site with barely a place to enjoy the African Sky so we escaped to a beach restaurant till sleeping time. The sleep itself was comfortable.

The Port Nolloth beachfront with its neat and spacious waterfront layout, including ample parking, is a great place for long strolls on the beach, or just to relax in the sun on the clean sand. Grazia de Beer, after whom the beach was named, has...

Meet the local lighthouse keeper who speaks the language of old sailors. Hear about the treacherous channel through the outer “bar” that boats have to navigate through to get into the sheltered shipping channel. Many have tried to make it through...
