About Reilly's Rock Hilltop Lodge

Reilly’s Rock Hilltop Lodge is located within Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary, Swaziland’s pioneer conservation area. This beautiful, secluded sanctuary is situated in Swaziland’s Valley of Heaven, the Ezulwini Valley, in between Mbabane and Manzini. With 24-hour access to the sanctuary, guests are free to enjoy the neighbouring tourist hubs of Ezulwini and Malkerns, with their many unique attractions and craft shops. From the western boundary, the huge Usutu Forest provides a dramatic backdrop stretching into the distant hills.

Reilly's Rock Hilltop Lodge is a small, personal, quietly Colonial guest house on the sanctuary, amid botanical gardens and teeming with birdlife. The lodge is offered on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis, and there are six en-suite rooms in total - five of which are double rooms and the other a twin room.

Allow your senses to take in the refreshing surroundings on horseback, mountain bikes, open Land Rover tours and foot trails, and enjoy the abundant wildlife seen on the plains. The rich birdlife, including the only known protected nesting Black eagle in Swaziland commonly known as Machobane trail, is a special part of outdoor activity on Mlilwane.

Reilly's Rock's service was exceptional - both Ruth and Lizzy were always available and ensured that we felt really being spoilt. The room was comfortable and the food good. The tranquility is priceless and the crested guinea fowls and tame little blue duikers place the crown on a wonderful time.

I have been told that this is one of Swaziland's gems. I was not disappointed. We arrived for a 2 night stay; and were met with a wonderful warm welcome. The lodge itself has an amazing view and there is plenty to see in the garden with antelope; bush-babies and a wide variety of birds.I was sharing a twin room with a friend; and while the room was a little on the small side; it was very tastefully decorated in colonial style. My parents had a double; which was large and spacious and opened directly onto the garden. A walkers paradise with plenty of routes starting directly from the the lodge;...
