Very nice view on the sea, but that's about it. The place is falling apart. Everything is old and patched up. The bathroom door does not have a handle, and it is not clean. toilet sticker says, out of order?? Nothing like on the photo's. And there are a bid balcony to smoke on, but the owner himself smokes in the place, and its unbearable. Really, it needs a bit renovation and a lot of changes for me to stay there ever again.

The view is, indeed, breathtaking. And I would say that the accommodation is what you can expect for such a low price. Very simple and basic, but mostly clean. It could need a bit of a renewal and there was some wired powder on the bed sheet. If you don't expect too much and are just looking for a place to sleep, then it could work for you.

We were disappointed with the miscommunication about our booking, but once it was sorted out the accommodation had a nice sea view. Place is quite run down, but fine if you need the bare necessities.

It is very convenient and close to everything, rooms were neat and clean but the house needs a bit of renovation, dripping taps etc.

The Plett Backpackers has an amazing view, incredibly friendly staff and a location unmatched in this price range. It's on the main street, and merely a minute's walk to local grocery stores, pubs, restaurants and all manner of amenities. It's also walking distance to the beach, if you don't mind a stiff uphill hike on the way back. While I was there the staff made a concerted effort to keep the rooms and the kitchen clean, and regaled us with stories from the region. Unfortunately, the place is in need of some concerted maintenance efforts. There is a measure of "rugged aesthetic" (stained...
