My boyfriend and I booked in at old vic for the weekend to celebrate my birthday and i must say we had a fantastic time..The hospitality from the staff was great, the view of the place was amazing and it was great seeing and meeting the guests from Germany and beyond..we are definitely coming back soon..

Iwas very disappointed with the quality of the units, even though it is a budgetunit, the basic essentials are not there. Cutlery in the unit is a bunch of oldmismatch stuff, no glasses, old stained and no even clean cups, untidy andunclean kitchen, furniture in the TV rooms is old dirty and just covered withblankets, cushions don't even have covers. TV states on booking selectedsatellite, not even SABC 1 worked. Some guests luggage was even carried to theirroom, but we could not even get a extra portable fan. No income are beinginvested to improve the facilities, rather leave it as is. Broken...

The pictures about the accommodation is deceiving. We have booked a room which indicated a room for 2 adults and one 1 child with a private bathroom based on the same picture as on this website. needless to say that the rooms are no where near the quality of the room in the picture. On arrival we ere told that we have 2 bunker beds and had to share a communal bathroom. When I declined the room the staff ran around to find a suitable room for us. We ended up in a self catering unit after we had to pay R200.00 extra. The unit had very limited cooking facilities, a bathroom in desperate need for...

We were looking for a affordable place to overnight. This was exactly what we got and more. The people were friendly, helpful and made the stay pleasant. It was warm and homely. Spacious for just a sleepover, private to do your own thing (making your own food, coming and going to visit nearby attractions) and just for those who feel like doing nothing - their breakfast is filling and then they even cater for dinner.Even the kids loved it, when they were not tired they could play a board game or two. Great!

Pleasantly surprised at the warm and friendly welcome. We received the best accommodation with friendly and professional staff who treated us as part of the family. I will make use of this inn again for sure. Thank you very much for making our holiday experience one of the best so far!
