About Notting Hill Lodge

Notting Hill Lodge is a comfortable Guesthouse in the heart of the Natal Midlands, offering mixed accommodation in deluxe suites, family flatlets, and cottages.

All suites have their own bathrooms, their own separate furnished patios, and their own separate external entrances. All the suites are different in furnishings and layout, yet all cover a high level of comfort and spaciousness. All suites are eqipped with linen and spare blankets, towels, soaps, fans, and electric blankets. Each suite has it’s own coffee facilities, 54-cm TV with local channels, a selection of magazines and patio furniture cushions.

The suites are set into the English gardens, overlooking the large swimming pool, in an open garden amongst some fruit trees. With the best views of the Balgowan valley and adjacent farms, and have their own braai area. The gardens and bush on the farm has been opened to allow free access to the buck, birdlife, and other wild animals that traverse the area.

The landscape here is truly the green rolling hills of Natal, dotted with fly-fishing dams and an ordered beauty that has earned Nottingham Road its place in the heart of the Midlands Meander – an eclectic mix of arts and crafts, restaurants, and a wide range of sporting, environmental and historical pursuits that was originally created to attract visitors off the beaten track.

I really liked the friendly manager Ashleigh. We mostly had contact with her and she was helpfull and always smiling. She made it such a pleasure to stay at Notting hill Lodge. If there is one thing I would say wasn't pleasant was that our booking was not showing up on their system and so they had not prepared our rooms. It took about 30 minutes to get that sorted. So not a train smash at all.

The rooms were good for a one night stay ...the electric blankets didn't work in one of the bedrooms ...we tried to get them to work to no avail. Otherwise good place ...for the price
