As we are in a bush environment, you will be required to fill in an indemnity form on arrival.

During peak season we will only book a minimum of a 2 night stay. Long weekends are a minimum of 3 nights. About our cottages:The cottages are 1km down from the main road - the road is half paved and half sand. Please follow the signs "Mackers" in red. We are located next to the Windmill Wine Shop on the R536 Hazyview - Sabie Road. Please be advised that we do not have television sets in any of the units, we believe in escaping to the bush and enjoying the peace and tranquility of the surroundings. Birdlife is abundant on the farm, with over 250 species to admire. There are several hikes to enjoy - bring along your hiking shoes. We do not have a swimming pool, but invite you to enjoy The Sabie River at the foot of the farm. The river is 1km down from the cottages and is accessible by most vehicles through out the year. There is an escape road in serious rains so there is no stress to get out Our cottages are well appointed and we've tried our best to give you a "home away from home". Crisp white linen and bath towels are provided, but NOT swimming towels. No towels are to be removed from the cottages. There are also no hairdryers in the cottages. The cottages are serviced on request at an additional rate of R200 per day. Kindly request when booking. We believe in conserving water, thus towels will be exchanged on every 4th day for long term stays. Mozzie Coils will not be permitted in the cottages. Our cottages are non-smoking, but you are welcome to smoke outside on the patio.

Simply cosy, intimate and a hidden gem. It was an interesting discovery to find ourselves in middle of the bush almost at the bottom of the mountain. We took a walk to the river and it was so amazing walking down the slopes to the bottom and back uphill again

We loved the location. We loved the contactless checking in, very convenient. But also no TV was good for us to make sure we explore. We realized in the second day that a TV wasn’t necessary anywhere.Establishments response:Hi Tinashe, We appreciate your positive feedback. We are perfectly located for exploring the area and you took full advantage of that. We look forward to your return visit. Read more

Its just few KM's from Hazyview, and kind of central with a lots of interest all around you.Although budget friendly (we stayed in the 2 bedroom cottage); there was no working bathroom light and was only fixed the day after we reported it with a light as bright as a match stix. Kitchen items cannot be relied on; there was no can opener and the one we borrowed from the adjoining unit was broken.

Hosts very friendly, accommodating, helpful. Rooms lovely, clean, well equipped.Suggest to inform visitors that there is limited signal, and install tech to be able to communicate with hosts/main house in event of emergency.

I loved the quiteness of the place. The improvement can be the pool, the place doesn't have it and it was blazingly hot.
