This beautiful double storey historical cottage is right on the beach and metres from the sea. 180 degree sea views from the Kommetjie Lighthouse in the South to Hout Bay in the North, Lorelei is completely private, secure and utterly stunning. Original Oregon pine floors, original Victorian wooden walls and ceilings, wood-burning stove, original white sash windows and green shutters, with a beautiful covered wooden stoep to the North and West. Fully equipped and luxuriously appointed, this is the perfect beachfront hideaway. And only 40 minutes from the centre of Cape Town. Includes pool, outside shower, sunny courtyard and Maids Quarters. Large sitting room with fireplace, DSTV, video, Hi-Fi unit, leading through French Windows onto spacious deck encircling the pool and looking right over the beach and sea. Outside covered entertaining area on deck overlooking pool and sea with dining table, chairs and wicker sofa and arm-chairs.
Large well-equipped kitchen with eight-seater kitchen table, dishwasher and microwave; and separate dining room seats 10. Smaller second sitting room with sea views. Master bedroom with balcony overlooking the sea and bathroom with panoramic mountain views, one large double bedroom en-suite with sea views and with a balcony, one large double bedroom en-suite with a TV and sea views and a private patio, and two large double bedrooms that share a bathroom and also have sea views. There is also a games room with pool table and/or table tennis table. The cottage also includes a downstairs shower and toilet, an outside fireplace and seated braai area.
Beach: We are so close to the beach, you could throw a pebble into the sea. The beach is pristine, with sand leading to rocks with rock-pools, and uninterrupted 180 degree views to North and South.
