About Lakenvlei Forest Lodge
Lakenvlei Forest Lodge, the ultimate escape from city life, nestles amid a lush pine forest estate, about 10 km north of Belfast in the Eastern Highlands of Mpumalanga province. This area is famous for its cool summers, frosty winters and trout-filled streams and dams.
There are twelve self-catering luxury chalets constructed from solid pine logs from the surrounding area. Each chalet is beautifully furnished in a comfortable cottage style, with a large open-hearth fireplace as a focal point in the living area. They have fully equipped kitchens, spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. The chalets are serviced daily, mountain bikes and boats available please enquire at reception.
There is a main lodge where guests will find a country-style restaurant specializing in country cuisine, as well as a cosy pub. There are many activities at the lodge, including hiking, fly fishing, tennis, and horse riding.
Wedding Venues: Lakenvlei is ideally suited for special occasions such as weddings, birthdays and anniversaries. Booking arrangements are flexible, allowing you to personalize your event, according to your needs.
Conference Venues: There is a conference room that can accommodate up to 35 delegates in a U-seating. There is modern equipment and facilities.
Family friendly: Pony rides at are available at R60 per child. A limited number of Mountain Bikes for children are available from reception.
